The family of Rob Reiner has released a statement following news that the legendary director and his wife, Michele Singer, were found deceased in their home on Sunday, Dec. 14.
âIt is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,â his family said in a statement, via Variety.
The outlet further adds that their deaths are being “investigated as a homicide.”
More Details Have Come Out Following News of Their Passing
It began when NBC4 Los Angeles reported that a man and woman were found dead inside their home, with their ages being 78 and 68 years old. While they were not immediately identified, many presumed it to be the actor and his wife as that is their ages.  TMZ confirmed the news of their passing shortly after.
Then, PEOPLE reported that the couple’s son, Nick, is believed to be involved in the incident, with the outlet later adding that their bodies were discovered by their daughter, Romy.
