Leigh-Anne Pinnock has revealed the difficulties of only being able to see her husband ‘three days a month’.
The singer, 34, rose to fame as part of the girl group Little Mix before embarking on a solo career.
Since 2016 she has been in a relationship with professional footballer Andre Gray, also 34, whom she married in 2023.
They also welcomed twin girls in 2021.
However, since he signed with Saudi Pro League club Al-Riyadh in September 2023, the couple have barely been able to see each other.
Last year Leigh-Anne detailed how they have a ‘long distance relationship’, which she labelled as being ‘hell’. In January, he then moved to Istanbul after signing with Turkish club Fatih Karagümrük.
She’s now spoken about the impact of the physical distance between her and her husband after two years apart.
‘Even now with my husband living abroad…we probably see each other, maybe if we are lucky, three days in a month,’ she said on the Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed podcast with Chris and Rosie Ramsey.
‘It’s so sh**.’
She went on: ‘We have been doing that for three years. They [the twins] have just turned four.’
Jumping in, Rosie then asked how her husband was dealing with the separation from his family.
‘It’s so hard. He’s struggling a little bit to be fair.’
Leigh-Anne and Andre met at a nightclub in Marbella nine years ago.
In 2020 they got engaged during lockdown, around four years into their relationship.
‘Guys.. wtf has just happened… He bloody did it, and I said yes,’ Leigh-Anne announced at the time alongside a series of pictures capturing the moment, which happened in their garden.
Meanwhile, Andre wrote: ‘I’m marrying my soul mate, the man of my flipping dreams…. am lost for words, so I think I’m just going to go cry some more.’
The following year they announced she was pregnant. ‘We’ve dreamed about this moment for so long and we can’t believe the dream is finally coming true…we can’t wait to meet you,’ she shared.
They were then married in Jamaica in June last year.
A year earlier, she’d spoken about if she held any resentment over having a long-distance relationship.
‘I really try not to. We know what he’s doing it for, do you know what I mean, he’s doing it for us,’ she explained on the Table Manners podcast.
‘That’s the thing about being with a footballer, you just don’t know where you’re gonna be and I can’t move with him anywhere because obviously, I can’t have a career wherever he’s gonna go, I have to obviously be local to home.
‘I had it good [at the start] because he played for QPR, he did Watford, and that was local, so I had a couple of years of us living together. We had the babies and then he had to go.
She added: ‘I can’t do it anymore; I can’t do it.’
