Lily Allen is reportedly headed to a trauma clinic as she deals with the devastation of her marriage ending.
The singer, 39, has split from Stranger Things star David Harbour, 49, after she discovered he was allegedly using the celebrity dating app Raya in secret.
While she previously denied that she’s headed to ‘drug rehab’ amid the divorce rumours, it seems she is headed to an inpatient treatment facility as she is ‘spiralling and spiralling.’
After recently returning to Brooklyn, where she shares a home with David, the singer was reportedly extremely triggered by his proximity.
A source told MailOnline.com: ‘It was very painful for Lily to return home. David used to be her saviour and now he’s a trigger for her. Lily settled her kids back into the family home and took them to school for their new term, then flew herself straight to rehab. She went a day earlier than intended as she felt wobbly and desperate to escape.’
The outlet reports that she will ‘spend several weeks at the residential retreat in the US’ and is expected to participate in group therapy as well as individual counseling sessions to help her process her grief.

Another source told MailOnline.com: ‘She wants to make sure she’s feeling physically well again so she can be there for her daughters as the best mother she can be.
‘Everyone thinks David is the steady one and Lily is the crazy head-case. But the reality is that Lily was calmer and more grounded than she’s ever been – until she discovered that her marriage was unexpectedly over. She is taking the responsible course of action with a trip to a retreat to get her head straight.’
She previously announced that she is taking a three-week break from her BBC Sounds Miss Me? podcast with friend an-d copresenter Miquita Oliver, as she tries to process her emotions.
In a recent episode, she shared that she was ‘spiralling’ and could only concentrate on the ‘pain’ that she was feeling.
‘I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything, I’m really not in a good place,’ she told listeners.

‘I know I’ve been talking about it for months but I’ve been spiralling and spiralling. It’s got out of control, I’ve tried.
‘I came to the Miss Me? Christmas lunch and had a panic attack and had to go home and the I went to see something at the theatre the other night with my friends and I had to leave at half time.
‘I can’t concentrate on anything except the pain I’m going through. It’s really hard.’
She then explained that any media speculation about drug rehab was completely false.
She continued: ‘There will be speculation because of the amount of time I’m going to be taking away that I’m going to drug rehab – I’ve not, I’ve not relapsed.

‘I have seen some horrible blind items on the internet that I was found in a crack den by my husband being surrounded by men. I don’t know who is spreading these vicious rumours but it’s not true.
‘It all comes back to the phones. They aren’t doing us any good. They certainly aren’t doing me any good at the moment. I really don’t like my phone.
‘I’m as guilty of that as anyone else, what I’m very excited about where I’m going over the next few weeks is that I’m not allowed my phone.’
David and Lily were married in 2020.
Lily also shares two daughters, Marnie, 12, and Ethel, 11, with her ex-husband Sam Cooper.
