Lily Allen has continued to fuel the flames of the drama surrounding her split from David Harbour after dressing as his mistress for Halloween.
Last week the singer, 40, released her album West End Girl, which debuted at number four on the UK Albums Charts and has been praised by critics and fans alike.
In it, she also accuses her ex – whom she married in 2020 and split from last year – of cheating and gaslighting, as well as cheating with a woman she dubbed ‘Madeline’.
The accusations levelled at the Stranger Things star, 50, have caused a stir – with Lily now taking her chance to capitalise on the ongoing interest in her frank admissions.
Overnight, while attending a party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, the singer arrived dressed up as the children’s book character Madeleine.
Written in 1939 by Ludwig Bemelmans, Madeline follows a young girl living at a boarding school in Paris.

It was later turned into a film starring Hatty Jones in 1998.
Channelling the character, Lily wore a blue, collard pea coat, which she paired with a red neckerchief, straw hat, Mary Jane shoes and bright orange wig.
Posting a video on social media, Lily strutted into a hallway to show off her costume, captioning it: ‘FOUND HER’. In the clip she also stared down the camera and puffed a vape before blowing smoke into the camera.
In her explosive album, Lily addressed David’s infidelity by reading out what appeared to be a voice note from his mistress, in which she confirms her relationship with David has only ever been about sex, and nothing more.
However, Lily sings: ‘I can’t trust anything that comes out of your mouth. I’m not convinced that he didn’t f**k you in our house.’
Madeline is merely a pseudonym though, with American costume designer Natalie Tippett has stepped forward as the woman behind the moniker.
After being approached by the Daily Mail and asked if she’d heard Lily’s new music, she ‘rolled her eyes’ and responded: ‘Of course I’ve heard the song.’
She went on: ‘I have a family and things to protect. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and I understand this is going on. It’s a little bit scary for me.’
It’s been reported that Natalie and David met in the US during shooting for Netflix movie We Have a Ghost in 2021 and struck up an affair soon after.
In the song Madeline, Lily suggested she and her estranged husband had an open marriage, so long as it was discrete and not based on emotional connection.
She sings: ‘How long has it been going on? Is it just sex or is there emotion?/ He told me it would stay in hotel rooms, never be out in the open/ Why would I trust anything that comes out of his mouth?’ I’m not convinced that he didn’t f**k you in our house.’
The chorus then explained: ‘We had an arrangement/ Be discrete and don’t be blatant. There had to be payment/ It had to be with strangers/ But you’re not a stranger, Madeline.’
Lily and David split after she uncovered his three-year affair and profile on celebrity dating app, Raya.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Lily spoke about how she believes many young women are no longer finding marriage and long-term relationships attractive.
‘I just feel we are living in really interesting times—in terms of how we define intimacy and monogamy, people being disposable or not,’ she said.
‘The way we are being intimate with each other is changing as humans … Lots of young women are not finding the idea of marriage or even a long-term relationship that attractive anymore.
‘Lots of people from my parents’ generation stayed together forever and were miserable. You didn’t have endless choice, so you may have worked at something harder. But now you don’t have to.’
She went on to say that ‘intimacy is inherently messy’. ‘There are usually agreed-upon boundaries in relationships. But whether those boundaries are adhered to or not is becoming a grey area all of a sudden.
‘Dating apps make people disposable, and that leads to the idea that if you are not happy, there’s so much more to choose from—right in your pocket.’
