
Hulk Hogan‘s ex-wife, Linda Hogan, is holding on to cherished memories of him as she marked what would have been his 72nd birthday. On Aug. 11, the 65-year-old shared a tender Instagram tribute, posting a throwback photo of the former couple in their younger years, along with an emotional message filled with love & longing.
Linda’s Tearful Tribute to Hulk
âMe and Hulkster .. 1981 Happy Birthday Terry .. I love and miss you so much â¦â she wrote, using the WWE legendâs real name, Terry Bollea. The image showed the pair posing in workout gear, and appeared to be a photo of a framed print from their early years together.
Nick Hogan’s Birthday Tribute To His Dad
Nick Hogan also honored the late wrestling legend with a heartfelt Instagram tribute that was both a celebration of his fatherâs life and a deeply personal expression of loss.
Sharing a throwback photo of himself with âThe Hulkster,â Nick called his dad his âbest friend and hero,â writing, âHappy birthday dad! I love you and miss you more than anything. I wish we could have celebrated together today but I know youâre with me always â¤ï¸ð.â
Reflecting on Their Shared Past
Linda, who was married to Hulk from 1983 to 2009, posted the same throwback image on July 19, just five days before his death, as she reflected on the âgood old daysâ they shared.
After his passing, she returned to the photo, admitting she âhad no idea he would pass away this soonâ and adding that everyone âreally thought he would make a comeback.â
Hulk died on July 24 at age 71 in Clearwater, Florida, from an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. Medical records obtained by People revealed he also had a history of leukemia and atrial fibrillation, conditions not previously known to the public.
Inside Hulk’s Final Days

According to the dispatch call from that morning, emergency responders arrived at Hoganâs home in Clearwater Beach at 9:51 a.m. for a cardiac arrest call. First responders attempted resuscitation for 30 minutes before transporting him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His leukemia, a form of blood cancer affecting white blood cells, had not been disclosed before his death.
Born Terry Bollea, Hogan shot to fame in the 1980s, becoming the defining face of WWEâs golden era. He headlined the inaugural “WrestleMania” in 1985 and went on to battle some of the sportâs most iconic names, including André the Giant, Randy Savage, The Rock, and Vince McMahon.
His memorial service followed a moving 10-bell salute during “SmackDown” and a standing ovation from fans and peers alike.
