Lindsay Lohan’s Son Thought She Was Stuck Inside the TV

Freakier Friday Lindsay Lohan Talks About Son

Lindsay Lohan’s return to Hollywood is turning heads, especially in her own household. While promoting her upcoming film “Freakier Friday,” the actress shared a heart-melting story about her young son Luai’s reaction to seeing her on television. Now that Lohan is back in the spotlight, it seems even her toddler is starting to realize that Mommy might just be a movie star.

Lindsay Lohan Shares Adorable Moment From Talk Show Appearance

Lohan was a guest Monday night on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and she spoke about an unforgettable moment earlier that day with her son. Luai, age 2, watched her appear on “Good Morning America” and had a very sweet reaction.

“Actually, this morning, he was with my in-laws and my husband and I were doing Good Morning America, and he was like, ‘Mommy, come out! Mommy!’” Lohan laughed. “He thought I was stuck in the TV.”

As Fallon waved toward the camera to reassure little Luai, Lohan admitted that she’s becoming more mindful now that her son is old enough to notice her on screen. “Now that he’s getting older and more aware, I’m kind of scared. I don’t want him… to get confused,” she explained.

Lohan also shared which film from her career she would feel most comfortable letting Luai watch as he gets older. “Herbie: Fully Loaded,” she said, calling it a fun, car-centric pick that’s perfect for kids.

“Freakier Friday” Marks Lindsay Lohan’s First Onscreen Role as a Mom

The upcoming sequel to the 2003 hit “Freaky Friday” is especially meaningful for Lohan. Not only does it reunite her with co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, but it marks the first time she’ll portray a mother on screen in a full role.

“I played [a mother] in ‘Labor Pains’ for a second at the very end, but you didn’t see it,” Lohan told EW. “I’ve never played a mom before onscreen, so it’s special to me.”

Curtis, who is a mother of two in real life, took the occasion to heart as well. She gifted Lohan a necklace engraved with their children’s names, which both actresses wear during the film. “The necklace I’m wearing, which I also gave to Lindsay, has our children’s names engraved on the back,” Curtis revealed. “It’s the first time I’ve ever worn something of mine as Tess.”

As Lohan continues her comeback, she emphasized that her roles now have to align with her responsibilities at home. “They need to work for my family,” she said. “If something works around that, it’s meant to happen. If it doesn’t work around that, it’s a no-go.”

“Freakier Friday” hits theaters August 8.
