Liv Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, is a mom to three children, and on Sunday, August 31, she gave a rare glimpse into their lives. The âThe Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ringâ actress posted a collection of sweet pictures on Instagram showing her son, Sailor, getting a haircut.

Tyler shares her two children with her ex-partner, David Gardner. Their son Sailor was born in 2015, and their daughter Lula in 2016. Tyler is also a mother to an older son, Milo, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Roy Langdon. Milo was born in 2004.
In the photos on Instagram, Sailor sports a much shorter hairstyle and appears to be very happy with his new look. In another picture, Sailor and Lula are embracing. Itâs a beautiful moment, but itâs also remarkable how much Lula looks like her mom.
In the caption, Liv revealed what was going on in the photos. âOur sweet boy Sailor Gene was ready for a Transformation!!! 10 years of long golden locks ⦠Back to school snip !!!â she wrote. She also thanked the hairdresser responsible for her sonâs new haircut.
Fans have reacted to the post, with comments about how much Lula resembles Liv. âAwwww! Liv, your daughter is your twin!â a comment reads. âBeautiful kids. He looks so handsome. And lulu looks just like her momma. Beautiful,â another person wrote.

Four weeks earlier, on August 4, Tyler posted several photos on Instagram in celebration of Lulaâs birthday. She looks so much like her mama. âMagical Lula rose July girl sweet # 9,â the caption reads.
Liv Tyler Reveals Her Thoughts on Motherhood
Fans appreciate the rare photos that Tyler posts on social media of her children, but she has also occasionally commented on motherhood.
Sailor was born earlier than expected, and Gardner was not able to be there for his birth, but her father and her sister, Mia Tyler, stepped up and were there when Sailor was born. âNever in a million years would [I] have thought Iâd give birth with my dad and my sister, but it was actually really sweet because ⦠we were laughing a lot,â Tyler said on âJimmy Kimmel Live!,â People reports. Steven was even there to cut his grandsonâs umbilical cord.
Liv has also shared what sheâs learned from parenting. âMy favorite thing about being a parent is that I learn so much from the push-and-pull dynamic of mother and child,â she told More magazine in 2022, People reports. âHaving children, I learned about my own strength.â
