Lorraine Kelly has shared a health update with her fans after telling them that she would be undergoing surgery to remove her ovaries.
The 65-year-old broke the news from her hospital bed earlier this month, telling followers on Instagram that she would be having preventative surgery after a series of tests and scans.
She has since told fans the operation went well and today shared a photo up and about in a purple co-ord with a big smile of her face, holding her little granddaughter Billie.
Posing alongside her gynecologist, Kelly wrote: ‘I had my check up l today and the fabulous Ahmed Raafat says I can go back to work on Monday – as long as I take it easy. Billie obviously loved him.
‘Huge thanks to Mr Rafaat and his top team who’ve chosen to work here and help us – from countries like Croatia, Nepal and all over Europe, Africa and the Caribbean – what on earth would we do without you.’
The post left her fans and colleagues alike delighted, with Lorraine co-star Ranvir Singh posting: ‘Beautiful post LK,’ while Christine Lampard commented with three red heart emojis.

Dr Amir Khan, a fellow ITV presenter, commented: ‘So glad to hear you are better, and you are right our NHS and care system owe a debt of gratitude to overseas workers x.’
Loose Women’s Katie Piper wrote alongside a love heart emoji: ‘Lovely to see you smiling.’
Christine Lampard told ITV1 viewers on Friday that Kelly would be back in her regular seat hosting the daytime programme on Monday, after she first went on break during the Bank Holiday.
While Kelly was in hospital undergoing the surgery, the show has had a rotating line-up of guest hosts, including Sian Welby, Ranvir Singh and Andi Peters.

She first shared the news with fans to Instagram at the start of May, explaining: ‘Just wanted to let you know I’m having a wee procedure today. I’ve not been feeling all that well for a little while, so I had some scans and tests, and I have to have my ovaries and my tubes taken out.’
‘It’s purely preventative,’ she continued. ‘It’s going to be with keyhole surgery, which is incredible, I’m being very well looked after, and I’ll obviously see you really soon, and I’m gonna be totally fine.
Lorraine continues weekdays at 9am on ITV1.
