Louise Thompson has revealed she had a stoma bag leak while travelling to Mallorca on holiday with her family.

The former Made in Chelsea star, 34, revealed her stoma bag earlier this year to her 1.4 million Instagram followers revealing her health battle with ulcerative colitis.

The star has shared positive updates and important milestones in her stoma bag journey on social media and has now shared another important update/

Taking to social media to share some holiday snaps, the TV personality revealed that she had her first stoma bag leak while on holiday after taking a flight to Mallorca.

‘I noticed that when I finally managed to visit a loo back in my room after a long day spent travelling via air and then straight out and onto making local Mallorcan food for dinner, that I had indeed come incredibly close to having a leak,’ she said in the caption of Instagram.

‘I can confirm that I had a leak in the lift because the whole thing had blown up, burst through the seal and onto my skin… but it hadn’t crept out any further. YET. I think we were moments away from a Leo-style explosion,’ she said referencing her son who is two and a half.

She added that she was wearing a white dress at the time so was lucky the whole thing didn’t explode.

‘THANK THE LORD for the angels looking out for me, protecting me from this humiliation because I happened to be wearing a white lace dress that evening and things could have got pretty interesting (messy), very quickly,’ she said.

She further explained that this was a learning experience for her as she realised she was ‘foolish’ to not have supplies in an accessible place.

‘I’ve definitely been through worse things so I’m a bit like hmmm, whatever, but the fact I’ve never even been smart enough to take supplies out the house w/me doesn’t exactly bode well when planning for every eventuality.

‘I foolishly didn’t even take any in my hand luggage at the airport. Gosh being trapped on a plane, or a boat, or at some Mallorcan Mantecadas masterclass would be hell.’

She then said it was ‘chaos’ as she added: ‘I honestly buckled over with relief when I tapped that automatic room key on the door. I used up an extra supply (bags etc) and then realised two days later that I hadn’t actually packed enough for the trip. Chaos.’

She then shared a request in the comments for fans to share their insights and advice about how to prepare for this type of situation. She added that she was ‘spreading the love’ and wanted to help others with her story.

The star then concluded by saying she was nervous about going on a boat following the leak, but at all worked out.

‘Thankfully I survived. The biggest issue ended up being the rain.

‘Hey, there’s nothing like a trip overseas with medical ailments to remind you that every day is a school day,’ she joked.
