WWE superstar Drew McIntyre stormed out of Monday Night Raw and appeared to quit the company live on air before deactivating his social media accounts.

The Scottish wrestler suffered a heartbreaking loss in Glasgow over the weekend when CM Punk screwed him out of the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Clash At The Castle.

Just 48 hours later, he appeared on Raw to address the situation after being captured on camera swearing and threatening a referee and WWE commentator Corey Graves.

Speaking last night, he seemed overwhelmed with emotion and struggling for words, before simply saying: ‘I can’t do this anymore. Screw this company. I quit.’

Raw general manager Adam Pearce tried to make peace with McIntyre, but the former world champion had no time for him or real life WWE boss Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.

‘I’m serious. He’s got you fooled,’ he told Levesque backstage. ‘I’m done!’

He was then seen leaving the arena as Pearce tried to reason with him, but the Scottish Warrior ranted: ‘He’s got everybody fooled from the top to the bottom.’

After his shock exit, McIntyre has since quit social media and deleted his accounts on X and Instagram, with fans wondering what the immediate future holds for the veteran.

His decision to ‘quit’ is part of his ongoing storyline and feud with CM Punk, who appeared in Glasgow over the weekend as a replacement referee deep into the main event, and cost his rival the victory.

Footage after the match on Saturday showed McIntyre raging and swearing, threatening referees and commentators until Wade Barrett – his longtime friend – led him away.

The Preston-born retired wrestler turned commentator described the situation as ‘f****** bulls***’, and called for Punk to be ‘fired’ over the incident.

‘CM Punk needs to be fired by WWE management. For once, show some balls. Do what you’re supposed to do. This is a guy who was not medically cleared to be in contact with any wrestler,’ he ranted.

‘He has now materially affected the outcome of two heavyweight championship matches. You guys need to do something about it. Restore some honor, some integrity to this issue.’

While McIntyre’s immediate on screen future remains unclear, he recently opened up on why he decided to re-sign with WWE earlier this year.

‘It was pretty simple. I want to be happy. The point in my life where I need that balance, not just – I can’t give 24/7 to wrestling anymore,’ he told Metro.co.uk in Glasgow two days before Clash At The Castle.

‘I’ve a wife and a family, and I want to give as much as possible, but I did need to find a way to get that balance, and that’s what was first and foremost, was family.

‘But Nick Khan and Hunter [Triple H] were unbelievable. We figured out something that works perfect for them, perfect for me, perfect for my family.’

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
