“I’m very grateful that I was chosen to be his mother,” she shared. “There was nothing left on the table. … I feel that our journey together as mother and son was complete.”

Pamela admitted the pain remains raw for Warner’s wife, Tenisha, and their daughter. “Children process differently,” she explained. “She watched them resuscitate him, try to resuscitate him. She saw that, and I know that’s awfully, awfully traumatic.”

“She loved her father dearly. She adored Papa. He was Papa,” Pamela added. “And so they’re both in deep grief.”

Clarifying Reports Around His Final Moments

Pamela also addressed confusion surrounding Warner’s final moments. Early reports suggested he drowned while saving his daughter, but she clarified that his daughter was never in the water.

“She was on shore,” Pamela said. Instead, Warner was caught in an undertow while swimming with another man, who managed to rescue himself. “He was a more experienced swimmer, but Malcolm was not,” she explained.

Pamela revealed that her granddaughter and Tenisha had already been in Costa Rica for three weeks as part of an immersion program before Warner joined them. “She’s homeschooled and this was part of an immersion program,” Pamela said, adding that “the husbands” came during the final week for “the fun part.”

Keeping His Legacy Alive

Both Pamela and Tenisha are working to honor Warner’s memory. Pamela urged fans to continue supporting his vision: “Love where you can, give when you can. Just be better. Just be better. Because that’s what he wanted, and that’s what he was working toward. We can all be better selves.”

Tenisha, who married Warner in 2017, also broke her silence with an Instagram post marking their anniversary. “Thank you for holding us in so much love during this tender time,” she wrote. She announced plans to launch The Warner Family Foundation to continue the couple’s shared mission of nurturing children’s creativity and inner light.

Pamela’s heartfelt reflections and Tenisha’s tribute underline Warner’s lasting impact as a husband, father, and artist. His family continues to celebrate the man who left what Pamela described as “an indelible mark on the world.”
