One of the very best to ever do it. All my love to her children and loved ones.â
Her post captured the affection so many in Hollywood felt for Keaton, a star known for her humor, warmth, and timeless authenticity.
Costars Celebrate Her Spirit
Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who also played Keatonâs daughter in âFather of the Bride,â shared her own tribute. âDiane, working with you will always be one of the highlights of my life,â she wrote. âYou are one of a kind, and it was thrilling to be in your orbit for a time. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, your talent, and above all, your laughter.â
Like Moore, Williams-Paisley remembered Keaton as joyful, kind, and full of life.
Keatonâs âFirst Wives Clubâ costar Bette Midler also honored the Oscar winnerâs legacy.
âI cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me,â Midler shared on Instagram. âShe was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was⦠oh, la, lala!â
Midler described Keaton as âbrilliant, beautiful, and extraordinary,â reflecting how deeply her charm and sincerity touched those around her.
From âAnnie Hallâ to âBecause I Said So,â Diane Keatonâs career embodied courage, humor, and authenticity. As Mandy Moore lovingly wrote, she was both a âscreen mom and real-life heroâ and âone of the very best to ever do it.â
