Mark Wahlberg Shares Daughter’s Health Update After ‘Terrifying’ Accident

Mark Wahlberg says his daughter Grace is recovering after a frightening injury during an equestrian competition. Speaking with Access Hollywood while promoting his upcoming film “The Family Plan 2,” the actor shared a hopeful update on his 15-year-old’s condition.

“She’s doing great. Thank you for asking,” Wahlberg said. “It was terrifying, you know. It’s a very, very dangerous sport, but she’s so passionate about it.”

Wahlberg added that Grace was eager to get back to riding right away. “All she wanted to do is get back on that horse, no pun intended. She was chomping at the bit and worried we would deem the sport too dangerous, but she is so passionate and so dedicated.”

The Actor Praises Grace’s Discipline & Drive

Wahlberg talked with pride about the commitment and routine his daughter has built around her riding.

“For her to have the discipline of getting up at 4:00 in the morning, going to the barn seven days a week, doing whatever she has to do to care for the horses and in her training and everything,” he said. “I kind of adopted that discipline when I became a parent, and for her to have it at such a young age.”

He also thanked fans and friends who reached out during her recovery. “It’s very, very scary, and I thank everybody for their support and well wishes.”

Grace Shares Her Own Recovery Update on Social Media

On November 3, Grace shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, opening with a picture of herself in a hospital bed wearing a sling. Other images showed her back on horseback and dressed in her equestrian uniform. She also included a throwback shot of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans celebrating a win.

“No pressure we will be back,” she wrote in the caption.

Wahlberg responded with praying, broken heart, and crying emojis, while his wife Rhea added, “No doubt, kid.” The family has not released details about the extent of Grace’s injury.
