
Are you ready to meet the new trio who are all set to take over Hogwarts? Itâs official â HBO has cast its fresh-faced trio for the much-anticipated “Harry Potter” reboot.

HBO searched the globe to cast three fresh faces as Harry, Ron, and Hermione. According to a BBC report, over 30,000 children auditioned for the newly cast roles in an open casting call.

HBOâs open casting call drew tens of thousands of kids from across the globe, all hoping for a shot at Hogwarts. And for the chosen three?
According to The Daily Mail, they could be looking at £1 million per season.

Meet Dominic McLaughlin as Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermione, and Alastair Stout as Ron. The iconic trio has fresh faces and brand-new wands.

According to a Variety report, showrunner Francesca Gardiner and executive producer/director Mark Mylod released a joint statement saying:
âAfter an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. Itâs been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.â
What We Know So Far About the “New Harry” Potter Series?
While it hasnât been officially titled just yet, according to independent, HBO says this will be âa faithful adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter books.â

With a fresh cast, a faithful retelling, and some big magic behind the scenes, this new “Harry Potter ” series looks set to charm a whole new generation of fans. Maybe bring some old ones back, too!
The show is being produced by HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television, with J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, and David Heyman also on board as executive producers.
The show will stream on HBO Max. The production is set to begin this summer with a 2026 premiere on the horizon.
Here’s the Full Cast for other Legendary Hogwarts Roles
The new Harry, Ron, and Hermione arenât the only fresh faces joining HBOâs upcoming “Harry Potter” series. According to The Independent, several well-known actors have already been announced for some of the other iconic roles from the Wizarding World.
John Lithgow will take on the role of Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore. At the same time, Janet McTeer steps into the shoes of Professor Minerva McGonagall â a role originally played by Dame Maggie Smith.

Paapa Essiedu has been cast as the complex Professor Severus Snape, who was made famous by the late Alan Rickman. British comedian Nick Frost will bring his take to the beloved gamekeeper Rubeus Hagrid, originally portrayed by the late Robbie Coltrane.
The series will also feature Luke Thallon as the jittery Professor Quirinus Quirrell, a part previously played by Ian Hart, and Paul Whitehouse as the grumpy caretaker Argus Filch, who was portrayed in the films by David Bradley.
