
Melissa McCarthy made a striking and rare red-carpet appearance at the ELLE Women in Hollywood 2025 gala, stepping out in a vibrant orange floral dress that radiated confidence and elegance.
The event, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, was filled with A-list talent, including Selma Blair, Mandy Moore and Niecy Nash â but McCarthyâs bold fashion choice stole the show, according to ELLE.
McCarthy Stuns on the Carpet
At 55, the âBridesmaidsâ actress looked radiant in the floaty, ankle-length gown, which featured a ruffled neckline and a rich, black floral backdrop that gave depth to the fiery orange print.
She continued to show off her impressive weight loss.
She styled her hair in a sleek ponytail, allowing the dress to take center stage, and added face-framing strands to soften the overall look.
During the event, she spoke of filming “Bridesmaids.” She revealed that the cast actually went to a strip club to prepare for the film.
While McCarthy seems to mainly stay out of the limelight, she is slated to host “Saturday Night Live” on Dec. 6. It will be her sixth time hosting the late night show.
McCarthyâs Weight Loss Journey
McCarthyâs appearance comes not long after her much-publicized weight-loss journey.
She reportedly lost around 95 pounds, according to HELLO!
While she hasnât disclosed just how she did it, she has been open about her journey in the past.
She stated she once did a liquid-only diet. âIâd never do that again. I felt starved and crazy half the time,â she said at the time.
While appearing on CBS in 2015, she explained how she decided she was no longer going to be hard on herself regarding her weight.
âI finally said [to myself], âOh, for Godâs sake, stop worrying about it,â and it may be the best thing Iâve ever done,â she noted.
McCarthy continued, âI just stopped constantly being worried about it⦠loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it, bizarrely, has worked.â
In 2018, she echoed a similar sentiment while on the Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM.
âEverybody’s always kind of working on something,â the comedian noted.
âAnd I was like, âIf I can de-stress and just do it slower and stop constantly trying to be on something,ââ she continued. âAnd then it actually worked better instead of being like, âI’m gonna not do this and do this and only drink this.’”
