
The ex-girlfrend of actor Michael Douglas is opening up about still adoring him.
Actress Brenda Vaccaro, who is currently starring in the Netflix movie “Nonnas,” made the comments to Page Six.
According to Page Six, Vaccaro and Douglas dated “for seven years in the â70s,” but she only has “kind” words about him.

To Page Six, Vaccaro gushed about her relationship with Douglas, who is now married to wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, with whom he has two kids.
âEverything was wonderful,â the actress, 85, told Page Six in the interview.
âWe were young, we were beautiful, oh my God, we were such a gorgeous couple. Breathtaking,â she told Page Six.
However, the relationship didn’t end on a high note, she told Closer Weekly.
“I fell madly in love with someone else, [actor] Don Stroud. There was this really strong connection â spiritually, sexually and so overpowering I could not handle it,â Vaccaro told that publication. âMy dear friend Robert Shaw, who was making ‘Jaws,’ told me what I was doing was rash and I was making a mistake â that momentary pleasures like the one with Don would lead to lasting regrets if I broke up with Michael.â
She added: âI regret all of it. Everything was different back then. There were a lot of drugs. We hung out with Anjelica Huston and Jack Nicholson, and it was a crazy time.â

Vaccaro and Douglas moved to California together in the 1970s after starring in a movie together, according to Page Six.
âTo come to California together to experience all that stuff,â she told the site. âHe got his first show, âThe Streets of San Francisco.â We were so excited. It was like, âWow, you know, we left New York and came to California and everything that was supposed to happen happened.”
She previously told Closer Weekly that the pair had a “hippie wedding” but it wasn’t real.
âThis was the 1970s. No one got married,â Vaccaro told Closer Weekly. âThen we decided to have a âhippie weddingâ at my agentâs house. We said vows that we loved each other and would be together forever.â
She told that publication that they lived together for seven years.
âI did ‘Midnight Cowboy,’ he fell in love with me and asked his dad, Kirk Douglas, to introduce us and offer me a part in ‘Summertree,’â she told Closer Weekly. âHe was a great guy and I loved him, but I did not want to marry him.â
