Michelle Pfeiffer Shares Heartbreaking Message After Beloved Rob Reiner’s ‘Horrific’ Passing

Michelle Pfeiffer has shared her sadness over the loss of beloved Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer’s death. Reiner was 78, and Singer was 68. The couple passed away in their Brentwood, California, home on Sunday, December 14. The news of their deaths and the circumstances surrounding them have shocked and horrified loved ones and fans, and tributes for the couple have poured in. 


Michelle Pfeiffer Pens Heartfelt Tribute to Rob Reiner 

Pfeiffer starred in the 1999 film “The Story of Us” alongside Bruce Willis. Reiner directed the film, and on Monday, December 15, the actress paid tribute to the late director and his wife on Instagram. She also offered her condolences to their family.

Pfeiffer posted a black-and-white photo of Reiner and Singer. In the caption, she wrote, “Beyond horrific. My thoughts and prayers to Michelle and Rob’s family and all those who loved them. I am so sorry.” 

Fans showed their support in the post’s comments. “What’s going on with the world? We need to bring love back,” a comment reads. “Inconceivable. US MUST do something to improve mental health policies…. So many people affected by this….!” another person shared. 

Other reactions include, “May their souls rest in peace this is such a devastating tragedy this is definitely a sad day for Hollywood I’m so sorry for this devastating loss,” and “He was an undeniable talent of a director. My sincerest condolences to his family at this horrific time.”

Reiner is celebrated for his work in the entertainment industry, and he was a multitalented individual. Some of his most celebrated films include “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally,” and “A Few Good Men.”  He was also easy to work with, as the celebrity tributes have suggested. 

Pfeiffer is among the many celebrities who have taken to social media to share her thoughts and offer their condolences. Other tributes include Zooey Deschanel, Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband Christopher Guest, Aisha Tyler, who played the role of Charlie Wheeler on the beloved hit sitcom, “Friends,” and Jerry O’Connell. 

The couple is survived by their three shared children, Jake Reiner, Nick Reiner, and Romy Reiner. Rob was also a father to Tracy Reiner from his first marriage to Penny Marshall. An investigation into the events surrounding their death is underway, and it is believed that this was a homicide. Tragically, family sources have reported that Nick was responsible for his parents’ murders, People reports.
