The reason behind Mickey Rourke’s removal from the Celebrity Big Brother house has been revealed as his inappropriate comments have come to light.

Last night, it was confirmed that the Hollywood star, 72, had been ejected from the ITV abode after repeated warnings about offensive behaviour.

A spokesperson said: ‘Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.’

Now, in a preview ahead of tonight’s episode, which airs at 10pm due to a schedule shake-up, details have emerged about what exactly went down.

This weekend, the CBB house was transformed for a pirate-themed shopping task. As all housemates gathered in the garden, JoJo Siwa was assigned the role of Captain and put in charge of steering the ship.

JoJo said: ‘Ahoy! How have things been going out here?’

Trisha Goddard responded: ‘There is a rat amongst us, Captain.’

Reality star Chris Hughes then stepped out of line and looked at Mickey, as if to suggest he was the rat. As the former boxer also stepped forward, he confronted Chris.

‘Stick up for me,’ Chris whispered to Corrie star Jack P. Shepherd, standing beside him, seemingly sensing that things were about to get tense.

‘You looking at me?’, Mickey began.

JoJo said to Mickey: ‘Ahoy! You’re not the Captain of this ship. Ahoy! Back up, soldier.’

Ignoring her demands, Mickey told Chris: ‘Don’t eyeball me.’

‘Mickey, it was a joke, f***ing…’, Chris responded before being cut off.

‘Don’t f***ing eyeball me, you c**t,’ Mickey shot back.

Danny Beard and JoJo then both attempted to diffuse the situation, with drag queen Danny insisting to Mickey that Chris was larking around.

‘F***ing stand there,’ Chris directed at Mickey, nodding towards the line as if to tell him to step back.

‘What did he say?’, Mickey asked.

‘He was joking,’ Danny assured.

The Drag Race winner and Olympian Daley Thompson came between Mickey and Chris to calm them down, while Chris repeated that he meant no offence.

Big Brother soon piped up, ordering Mickey to go to the Diary Room ‘immediately’.

Mickey pointed to the ground and said to Chris: ‘No, your a** will be right there in a second.’

Big Brother announced again: ‘Mickey, come to the Diary Room immediately.’ Mickey then headed to the Diary Room.

Following a conversation with Big Brother about his behaviour, Mickey returned to the garden and apologised to Chris before heading inside.

Chris said to other housemates: ‘Mickey’s just Mickey, you know what I mean?’

Ella Rae Wise responded: ‘It’s fine—you can be just someone, but be mindful of what it can trigger in other people, because it’s made me feel very uneasy.’

The Towie star, 24, proceeded to reference a comment Mickey made earlier in the day about how it made her uncomfortable.

She had earlier asked him: ‘Mickey come with me.’

Rourke replied: ‘What come in you?’

Wise was called into the Diary Room where she broke down in tears and said: ‘I don’t like the sexual jokes. I’m a young girl. I’m not a piece of meat. He’s making people feel really uneasy.

But the drama didn’t end there, as Mickey was later pulled back in for a chat with Big Brother, which would be his last.

‘Mickey, Big Brother needs to speak to you about your behaviour,’ he was told.

Big Brother continued: ‘Earlier today in a disagreement with Chris, your language and behaviour was threatening and aggressive. Big Brother does not tolerate threatening language or behaviour.

‘In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella.’

Mickey replied: ‘Oh, I’m not aware of that, but OK.’

Big Brother added: ‘This language has caused offence to your fellow housemates and could cause offence to the viewing public.

‘This is not the first time Big Brother has had to speak to you about your offensive and inappropriate language.’

Mickey said: ‘Yes, sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know? I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. ‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life, and I wish I would have had better self-control, and I’m very sorry.

‘I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt, or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset, but you know, I’m sorry about that.’

Big Brother told him that bosses had ‘no option’ but to remove him from the house.

When asked if he had any final words, Mickey replied: ‘I blame myself; I know it was my bad. You know, I’ve got a short fuse, and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know? And I’m sorry for that.

‘I’m actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know? I did wrong.

‘I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday, actually, but I wasn’t chosen.’

Indeed, the action movie star was killer nominated by TikTok sensation JoJo, 21, and faced eviction on Friday along with soap icon Jack and former Tory MP Michael Fabricant. Ultimately, Michael became the first evictee of the series.

Mickey’s exit after less than a week inside the CBB house was the final straw, as he had already received warnings for inappropriate remarks.

On Wednesday, viewers were enraged when he told JoJo, who is a lesbian, that she ‘would not be gay anymore’ if he stayed in the house. He proceeded to use the F slur after stating, ‘I’m gonna vote out the lesbian.’

This caused his first run-in with Chris, who told him, ‘Mickey, you can’t say that,’ resulting in his ‘allyship’ being widely praised by audiences at home.

JoJo was visibly upset by the interaction, as she sobbed into Chris’s arms.

While she eventually received an apology from Mickey, his problematic behaviour did not cease there, as he would later insult Patsy Palmer’s cooking and body-shame Donna Preston by telling her, ‘You are what you eat.’

Viewers have taken to social media throughout the series thus far to express their anger towards Mickey, who was slammed on launch night for ‘creepily’ touching host AJ Odudu.

His removal means he will no longer receive the full £500,000 fee he was reportedly being paid for the appearance.

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 10pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
