Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about the difficulties of motherhood as she shares a very open video.

In her latest vlog on YouTube, the former Love Island star, 26, shared a day in her life filled with ups and downs with her toddler, Bambi, who was born in January 2023 with her partner Tommy Fury.

The video showed a conversation between Molly-Mae, her mother and sister as she worried about Bambi’s eating habits, having only eaten a brioche as a snack and avoided any proper meals.

As she closed the vlog, the star filmed an additional to-camera chat where she spoke candidly about her struggles with Bambi and motherhood, namely her daughter’s eating habits and tantrums.

‘I’m having one of those days, toddler mum days, where I question, “am I actually cut out for this?” I’m being very honest.

‘When I watch people’s videos and hear them talking about motherhood and how much every single minute they love, love, love it and I sit there and think, “is there something wrong with me as a mum? Because, I can’t sit there and say that every single minute I love it and I’m having one of those days.

‘I don’t even know if I’ll put this in the video, but I’m having one of those days where this is really not fun,’ she said.

‘Not all of it is enjoyable. I don’t know how to explain it. I’m just having one of those days where I find her impossible,’ she confessed.

She added that the two-year-old is currently refusing to do anything that she is asked, and added that she’s refusing to eat properly.

‘Every single thing I try and ask her to do, she will not listen to me.

‘She literally, on purpose, will do the opposite of everything I say or ask. The simplest things, she hasn’t eaten in like three days because she is refusing to eat. I’m finding it really, really hard,’ she said through sniffles as she struggled with hayfever.

‘Just simple things, there’s been a new carpet put down at Tommy’s house and we don’t want to wear new shoes on the carpet, but telling her to take off her shoes and not walk on the carpet, it’s the biggest tantrum and meltdown you’ve ever seen.

‘She screams that much and gets that upset and I’m in this constant battle of I don’t want to spoil them and let them win and not discipline them, but also, where do you draw the line and give in because she’s screaming so much and having that much of a tantrum that I’m not going to win this one.’

Molly-Mae then added that she struggled with comparing herself to other mothers who seem to be managing better, particularly those who have multiple children.

‘I want to have another baby at some point because I want to give Bambi a sibling, but the idea of this timesed by two, I don’t know if I could ever do it.

‘I don’t know if I’m cut out for it. Maybe I’m too much of a selfish person, or maybe I just don’t have the patience that other mums do.’

She added that, of course, she felt lucky to have her daughter, but was just struggling at the moment.

The candid confession about something that can be a taboo subject touched many of her commenters, who reached out with their support.

I’m actually glad you added the last bit in. I’m almost certain every parent can relate. Parenting a toddler is WILD, it is so difficult and every day can feel like a challenge,’ said PTwirlywoosF.

‘Congratulations, girlie. You never hesitate to discuss the more challenging or unglamorous topics. God bless you, you’ll be alright,’ added Emilia78uh.
