Adam Peaty’s relationship with his family going ‘downhill’ was reportedly caught on film at his engagement party to Holly Ramsay.

The 30-year-old decorated Olympic swimmer’s marriage to Gordon Ramsay’s 25-year-old daughter has come under intense scrutiny after it was first revealed his mum, Caroline, was no longer invited to his wedding.

Soon after, things became worse as his brother James was reportedly arrested upon Adam’s return from his Budapest stag do.

Adam’s parents then issued pleas for peace in new interviews, with the swimmer responding last week, breaking his silence to address the ‘challenging times’.

Now, it has been revealed that this fallout has actually been filmed and will likely feature in an upcoming documentary.

The Sun reported that their engagement party last December was filmed by Netflix for her chef dad, Gordon’s docuseries, and apparently the cameras captured the moment relations started to go downhill.

A source has even claimed that a confrontation between Adam’s mother and Gordon was captured on film.

‘Adam’s family were at the engagement party, when relations were much better,’ the source began.

‘Things went downhill from there. His mum was unhappy some of the family weren’t there and confronted Gordon at the event.

‘Guests were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in phones as the party was filmed.’

The show is due to hit Netflix in February, so fans will have to see then how much of the fallout is set to make it to screens.

Following various reports, on November 20, in a post to followers on Instagram, he criticised his family members for ‘encouraging’ the rumours of a rift between him and his immediate loved ones.

He continued: ‘Bethany, Holly and myself cannot go into detail given an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events.

‘For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place. I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times.

‘Bethany, Holly and I will get through this – we do not ask for sympathy. We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story.

‘To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding – thank you. It is deeply appreciated.’

Adam and Holly are set to marry at Bath Abbey on December 27.
