Monster Hunter Wilds has a £1,000 collector’s edition that comes with an actual bike

It doesn’t get any cooler than this (Capcom)

If you’re in need of a new bike, and are a huge Monster Hunter fan, Capcom has just the collector’s edition for you.

Along with a new and exciting trailer, the release date for Capcom’s upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds was finally revealed as February 28, 2025, at this week’s State of Play.

Capcom’s action role-player looks very promising, with a map twice the size of the one in predecessor Monster Hunter: World and some very impressive visuals and gameplay changes.

Along with the release date reveal, Capcom and online retailers have started to upload listings for pre-order editions, including one very unusual one that comes with a 9.5kg foldable bike.

The Monster Hunter Wilds Ultra Collector’s Edition costs £940 and comes with the bike, a PlayStation 5 or Steam copy of the game, a SteelBook, a baby Seikret plush, and a little weapon bag pouch charm.

The Monster Hunter-themed bike is foldable but will be sent separately to the rest of the limited bundle, sometime between April and and June, according to Capcom.

It also appears to be exclusive to Japan, however, with no information of if it will be made available to the UK or other regions in the future.

There are other, more traditional editions too, such as the Collector’s Edition, at £90, which comes with the same perks as in the Ultra edition, minus the bike.

There is also the standard edition (base game only), costing £64.99; the Deluxe Edition (includes in-game cosmetics and animations), at £79.99; and the Premium Deluxe Edition (which adds more in-game bonuses and cosmetics for DLC one and two coming out later in 2025), at £99.99.

It wouldn’t be surprising if the Monster Hunter bike is eventually sold by scalpers, at a higher price, once it comes out, which is quite common with special edition items.

Last year the Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition PlayStation 5 console was bought up by scalpers and sold at an inflated price, as that was a limited offer just like the Monster Hunter bike.
