With most of her friends are settling down and moving toward a new stage in life, Whitney is blazing her own path as she travels to Spain, celebrates major anniversaries, and embraces new and thrilling adventures. </p>

<p id=”par-5_41″>A teaser for <em>My Big Fat Fabulous Life </em>(via <a href=”https://youtu.be/1MRwG1yH7co?feature=shared”>YouTube</a>) offers hints of what to expect from the new episodes. That includes a possible update on her relationship with her <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/my-big-fat-fabulous-life-fans-think-discovered-identity-whitney-thores-french-boyfriend.html/”>long-distance French boyfriend</a>, with whom she was in an open relationship. </p>
<p id=”par-6_17″>“Do you think your are ready to move on from the Frenchman?” one of her friends asks. </p>
<p id=”par-7_22″>It sounds like the answer is no. In an interview, Whitney admits that she and the Frenchman are still in regular contact. </p>
<p id=”par-8_6″>“Am I pathetic? Probably,” she admits. </p>
<p id=”par-9_36″>Things might be unsettled on the romantic front, but that doesn’t mean Whitney isn’t embracing all that life has to offer. She’s planning a group trip to Spain with friends and family for her 40th birthday. </p>
<p id=”par-10_25″>“I’m hoping that this birthday, in a different time zone, in a different country, could finally give me what I am looking for,” she says. </p>
<p id=”par-11_48″>Unfortunately, it looks like the weather might not cooperate with Whitney’s plans, causing her to wonder if she’s “f*cking cursed.” Will she get the sun-soaked beach trip of her dreams? (Based on some <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C5LTBbViYUn/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C5EiqflCBPZ/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>posts</a> from back in March, it looks like she made the best of it!)</p>
<p id=”par-12_12″>Whatever happens, Whitney isn’t going to let unexpected hurdles get her down. </p>
<p id=”par-13_23″>“I’m a childless woman in the midst of a midlife crisis,” she says. “And I’m determined to find joy in my fourth decade.” </p>
