Fans have been left with their jaws on the floor as they realised that Doctor Who star Matt Smith, had a rather racy appearance in a show recently acquired by Netflix.
Matt Smith first became a household name when he burst onto screens as the lovable eleventh doctor in Doctor Who.
He’s continued to impress fans with incredible performances in House of The Dragon and The Crown, but many were surprised to find he had a rather racy role on TV when he was a young actor.
Matt appeared in the ITV series, The Secret Diary of a Call Girl, an ITV show that was released between 2007 and 2011 and has just been added to Netflix.
The show focused on the life and clients of a high-class escort named Hannah, played by Billie Piper.
In season one, episode six, Matt Smith appeared as a character named Tim who has a brief fling with the main character.
In the episode, Hannah is bored on a day off from work and meets Tim, a shop assistant while shopping for a wedding gift. One thing quickly leads to another and Tim wakes up naked in Hannah’s bed after a one-night-stand.
Tim overstays his welcome so Hannah tells him that she has a boyfriend who quickly arrives and begins flirting with him – leading him to scarper.

Fans were shocked to see the baby-faced actor who was just 25 when he filmed this role and took to social media to share their shock.
Sthelaena commented on X: ‘Matt Smith episode of Secret Diary of a Call Girl!!!! He’s such a baby here.’

Matt wasn’t the only famous face to appear in the series and many big names made cameos in this raunchy show.
Gemma Chan, best known for Crazy Rich Asians and Don’t Worry Darling, appeared in season four as another working girl called Charlotte.

Lily James, best known for Pam & Tommy and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! also appeared in season four of the show as Poppy, the daughter of a madame.
David Dawson, best known for My Policeman and Ripper Street, appeared in season three as a young aristocrat who falls in love and marries one of the escorts in the show.
Iwan Rheon from Game of Thrones also played a client in the series and James D’Arcy from Oppenheimer had a recurring role in season three as a publisher who dates Billie Piper’s character after publishing her book.
