The police were called to Rob and Michele Reiner’s home at least six times over the years, beginning in 2013, The Daily Mail reports.
The outlet obtained Los Angeles Police Department records, showing that officers were called to Rob’s Brentwood home in 2013, 2014, 2017, twice in 2019, and on December 14, which is the day that Rob and Michele were killed. The calls were due to “incidents ranging from alleged family violence to welfare and mental health checks.”
“There’s been quite a few calls for service at the Reiner house,” a source close to the LAPD told the Daily Mail. “The West LA division of LAPD was summoned to that home on many occasions.”
A welfare check occurred on Aug. 4, 2013 at 3.31 a.m., followed by a noise complaint for a party on February 2, 2014. Then the police received a call for a battery of family violence investigation on May 4, 2017. On Feb. 25, 2019, police were called for another welfare check, along with a mental health-related check on a male subject on Sept. 27, 2019.
“In this case, the officers had a recollection that they responded to the home on numerous occasions,” the source added. “It was significant, the number of times they visited that home.”
