Noel and Liam Gallagher’s brother Paul Gallagher, 59, charged with rape

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis duo Noel and Liam Gallagher, has been charged with rape and other sex offences.

The third Gallagher brother, who lives in a flat bought by Noel in East Finchley, North London, was charged by Scotland Yard after an investigation opened last year.

According to The Telegraph, he is accused of rape as well as sexual assault, coercive control and making threats to kill.

Gallagher, 59, is due to appear in court next month over the offences, which are said to date from 2022 to 2024, relating to one woman.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told Metro: ‘A man has been charged with numerous offences – including rape, coercive control and sexual assault.

‘Paul Gallagher, 59, of Manor Park Road, East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

‘The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022 – 2024. The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024. A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.’

The police confirmed he is set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 27.

Gallagher has never been a member of Oasis but instead worked as a DJ and photographer while his brothers toured.
