Olly Murs gave a young fan a moment he’ll never forget in a heartfelt exchange.
The Dance With Me Tonight hitmaker was performing at Carmel Racecourse over the weekend when he noticed a young boy crying on the front row of the crowd.
He hopped down the barrier to talk to the boy, who tearfully told the singer his name is Zach.
Speaking into the microphone in a video shared on his Instagram, Olly said: ‘Now, everybody seems to be having a great time.
‘Why are you crying son? Are you excited to meet me? Why are you crying?’
In an incredibly wholesome moment, Zach admitted: ‘Because you’re my favourite.’

Olly handled the sweet moment like a pro, keeping things lighthearted as he got the crowd to cheer for the lad.
‘It’s so lovely to meet ya! I hope you don’t cry for the rest of the show,’ he playfully quipped. ‘Are you gonna enjoy yourself? Are you gonna dance? Good! Give it up for Zach everyone!’
Olly joked Zach might not be able to remember his rise to fame on The X Factor in 2009, but he should still know the next song.
‘This is Thinking of Me,’ he said as he launched into the 2010 hit.
Sharing the clip on Instagram, he wrote: ‘Saw this kid front row crying bless him, Didn’t feel right to just carry on without jumping down check he was ok!! Zach see you at another show mate!sorry that my forehead and chin are so terrifying.’

It’s yet another sweet example of Olly showing just how much his fans truly mean to him.
Last month, he returned to the stage at London’s O2 Arena after he was forced to cancel some gigs due to illness.
After leaving the stage on May 24, he posted a photo on Instagram of himself looking up at the screen, on which a snap of him with a fan who died earlier this year was displayed.
He wrote in the caption: ‘Lou that was for you last night darlin 🙏🏻😞❤️’, with fans praising the ‘beautiful’ tribute.
‘Lou supported me everywhere up and down the country, her energy was great and she had such an infectious laugh and personality,’ he continued.
‘You’d always hear her before you could see her hahaha and often I’d love asking her how the show was and her then brutally telling me which songs i shouldn’t keep on the set but honestly that was Lou and it wont be the same without her x (sic)’
He added: ‘I think I speak on behalf of all my fans to say your be missed lou 😢 thinking of you and your family right now xx 😣🙏🏻💔’
