Pat Sajak & Vanna White Reunite to Spin the Wheel Again!

Pat Sajak and Vanna White Team Up Again

“Wheel of Fortune” fans are counting the days until Pat Sajak reunites with Vanna White to host the upcoming season of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” premiering Wednesday, April 30.

The 78-year-old is coming out of retirement to resume hosting duties in what the show is billing as his “final spin.”

But while it will be a reunion with Vanna White in the eyes of fans, Vanna says the pair have stayed in close touch.

“I talk to Pat all the time. He’s doing great. He’s healthy, he’s happy,” White said on the “Holding Kourt” podcast on Wednesday, April 2. “I just had dinner with him about a month ago, so I just want to let everyone out here know he’s doing good.”

Indeed Sajak seems to be enjoying his retirement.

In a recent Instagram post by his daughter Maggie Sajak, Pat is seen attending back to back New York Islanders vs. Washington Capitals hockey games.

Sajak watched as Alexander Ovechkin made history when he scored his 895th goal, breaking Wayne Gretzky’s record, on April 6. The next day, Maggie posted a picture of herself, her dad and Gretzky with the caption, “Me and a couple of legends on a historic day.”

Vanna White Talks Wheel, Pat and Big Decisions

In the “Holding Kourt” podcast, Vanna White also revealed how she struggled to make decisions about her own career after Pat Sajak retired from spinning duties last June, after an incredible 41-years in the position.

“Am I going to stay? Do I go out with [Sajak] after 41 years together? It was going to be hard to work with somebody else, you know, after being so familiar with [Sajak],” she explained to host Kourtney Turner. “It was just very hard for me to make that decision because I’m happy with my job. I still love my job. I decided to obviously stay on and I’m glad I did. There’s always contracts, there’s always controversy and all that stuff, but everything’s fine. I’m happy. We’re here.”

The “we” she refers to of course includes new host, Ryan Seacrest and Maggie Sajak, who continues to appear on “Wheel of Fortune” as a social correspondent.

Vanna has nothing but good things to say about Seacrest. “Everyone has watched Pat and me together for 41 years. To bring someone new in, it’s hard to get used to. You want to stay with what’s familiar but [Ryan] has stepped in and done a great job.”

According to Broadway World, Sajak is teaming up with his longtime friend, KHON-TV newscaster Joe Moore to bring the play to life that served as the basis for the popular 1970’s television series “Columbo.“

Sajak and Moore will reportedly do all their rehearsals over Zoom before Sajak travels to Hawaii.
