Patricia Heaton is honoring her longtime friend and fellow actor Pat Finn with a touching tribute following news of his death at age 60.

Finn, a beloved character actor known for his warmth and comic talent, passed away after a battle with cancer.

Heaton’s message celebrates his impact as a performer and a person, highlighting the joy and kindness he brought to everyone around him.

Heaton — herself a familiar face from hit sitcoms like “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “The Middle” — shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram on Thursday, December 25.

In the sweet post she shared a carousel of images of the two.

“One of the finest and funniest human beings I know has left to be with Jesus. Pat Finn, whom most of you know as Bill Norwood on The Middle had been battling cancer the last few years,” she began.

She continued, “At the too-young age of 60, he leaves behind his sweetheart Donna and three children. He was adored by all who knew him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and wonderful comedy.”

She recalled when he was briefly in the film “Unexpected” and called his appearance “scene-stealing.”

“Our hearts are broken, but as faithful Catholics, we know we will see each other again through God‘s mercy. Rest in peace dear brother,” she concluded.

Finn and Heaton worked together over the years in various TV and comedy circles, earning respect from colleagues for their professionalism and humor.

The family asked for privacy during this difficult time.
