âDance Momsâ icon Kelly Hyland just hit a major milestone: completing her second round of breast cancer treatment. And yep, she rang that hospital bell like the legend she is. The reality star (forever known for her no-nonsense energy on and off screen) first revealed her diagnosis in May 2024: invasive carcinoma, stage 1, grade 3. Since then, itâs been a tough ride of chemo, surgery, radiation, and pure grit.
On April 15, 2025, Kelly officially wrapped her most recent round of treatment, and daughter Brooke Hyland captured the emotional moment in a video that pretty much broke Instagram (in the best way). Kelly stood beaming, balloon in hand that read âPeace Out Cancer,â because of course it did. She rang the bell three timesâone for each of her kids. Try not to tear up, I dare you.
Letâs be real: cancerâs tough. But Kelly? Tougher.
Family First, Always
Throughout this whole journey, Kelly has not been alone. Her kids (Brooke, Paige, and Josh) have shown up in every way that matters. Theyâve been her ride-or-dies through doctor visits, treatments, and every âweâve got thisâ moment in between.

How Sheâs Staying Busy
Even in the middle of cancer treatment, Kelly wasnât slowing down. She kept co-hosting “Back to the Barre” with fellow “Dance Moms” alum Christi Lukasiak, proving that not even radiation could stop her from spilling the tea and revisiting Abby Lee chaos. A queen moves in silence; but also podcasts.
Back in August 2024, after finishing her first phase of treatment, she told fans: âI got to ring the bell today. This was the end of my first treatment⦠next steps surgery, 20 radiation and 11 more treatments. I GOT THIS.âÂ
Daughter Brooke even said, “âConfident that cancer has no idea who itâs messing with. I love you, mom.” in a May 2024 Instagram post about what her mom was going through.
Fighting for It All
Kellyâs story isnât just about surviving; itâs about showing up with humor, heart, and zero tolerance for giving up. Sheâs faced every step with strength, sass, and a solid support system. It seems like cancer doesnât stand a chance when faced with this amazing woman.Â
