***Warning this article contains X-rated spoilers for Peacemaker season 2, episode 1***
Every TV show hopes to kick off a new season with a bang – but Peacemaker has taken that literally.
Season 2 of HBO’s DC show – which stars WWE legend John Cena as the titular anti-hero/Chris Smith – got underway last night in the US with the premiere set to air later tonight on Sky Max for UK viewers.
It turns out the new series wasted no time getting into the action, starting off with Chris getting upset after being rejected by the Justice Gang and his crush Harcourt (Jennifer Holland).
He dealt with his depression in a rather unique way – by organising a full-blown, full frontal orgy at his house while he walks around, glum and unaffected by the antics around him.
Nothing’s left to the imagination in the majorly NSFW scene, with people going at it on every surface and in every room.
John Economos (played by Steve Agee) had been sent to check up on Peacemaker’s activity, and he got a real eyeful as he peeked through the window, and even the actor himself was gobsmacked by what he saw.

‘It’s definitely the most graphic day I’ve ever had on a set, and I was just an observer,’ Steve told Entertainment Weekly.
Although he was given a script, it simply mentioned that his characters ‘looks in the window, and there’s this orgy happening’, without going into detail.
‘In my head I’m like, ‘There’s only so much you can show on TV, so it’ll be fine.’ And then they didn’t tell me what I was going to see, and my reaction is legitimate,’ he laughed.
‘I walk up to a window and there’s like 30 people in a room having sex, and it is a graphic scene.’

He was doubly stunned by the huge amount of nudity across the board with all the extras cast in the raunchy scene.
‘It’s not just boobs on women, it’s everything, full frontal, back-al, upside down — oh my God,’ he added. ‘I really can’t think of a time I’ve seen something like that on TV.’
DC Studios boss James Gunn is also the showrunner for Peacemaker, and he felt the need to kickstart the show with the ‘extremes’ viewers have come to expect.
‘I’m trying to really be careful and warn everyone that it is a continuation of Superman, but it’s also for adults,’ he said to TVInsider about the orgy scene.

‘It’s a truthful moment where Peacemaker is relapsing… sort of falling back into old behaviors because he’s not getting what he wants.
‘He’s rejected by Harcourt, he’s rejected by the Justice Gang, and so he reverts to covering up his feelings in the way he did before Season 1, which is through drugs and alcohol, and sex.
‘We get to see it in action as opposed to him just talking about everything off-screen.’
That we do, James. That we do.
Peacemaker is available to stream on NOW, and will air on Sky Max at 10pm tonnight.
