
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that Peppa Pig star Mummy Pig is pregnant with her third baby – and now we know the gender.
The farmyard family, made up of Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Peppa and George, has been a treasured part of children’s TV for over 20 years, and now they are growing their brood with a third baby.
In February, Mummy Pig totally weirded out the nation with a dramatic pregnancy announcement on national TV (Good Morning Britain), offering a glimpse of her ultrasounds and revealing she would give birth in the summer.
For those waiting with bated breath to find out the gender of this fictional piglet – you’re in luck.
Celebrating the gender reveal at the iconic London location Battersea Power Station, in collaboration with NCT (National Children’s Trust), the UK’s leading charity for pregnancy and parents, the towers will light up in either blue or pink.
But for eager fans who want to be put out of their misery. It’s a girl!

Although we are yet to find out her name.
If there’s one thing this baby saga has done, it is unite the nation in utter bewilderment. Forget Black Mirror, we’re having fiction gender reveal parties.

For those looking for an immersive experience, the gender reveal episode will air on YouTube on May 3 as part of the Peppa Pig Tales series.
And, of course, Peppa Meets the Baby will screen in cinemas globally on May 30 in an hour-long special featuring brand new episodes based around the family’s new arrival.
The synopsis teases ’10 oinktastic new episodes, 6 brand new songs and music videos’ for fans to delight in.
In Mummy Pig’s baby announcement, she exclusively informed GMB presenter 55-year-old presenter Richard Arnold of the happy news.
When asked how she was feeling, the cartoon character replied: ‘Thrilled. A little overwhelmed at the thought of having three children under five running around, but mostly just completely delighted.’
