Peter Andre has broken his silence amid his toxic feud with Katie Price, and as social media sleuths continue questioning his character.
In recent weeks, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker has made headlines as nostalgic clips of him and ex-wife Katie spread across the internet. These have included him appearing to mock her disabled son, Harvey, in his wheelchair as a child, and exposing feisty rows between the former couple.
Peter, who was married to the glamour model, 47, between 2005 and 2009, has now defended himself and addressed the speculation around his ‘nice guy’ image, admitting that he’s not ‘perfect’.
When asked about the positive perception people have of him, the 52-year-old responded: ‘Well, look, nobody’s perfect. No one’s perfect in this world. Everyone makes mistakes.
‘But you get the measure of me by meeting me.’
He added to The Telegraph: ‘You’ll either think I’m too talkative and annoying, or you’ll think, “He’s alright, he’s harmless.”

‘But over a period of time, you build a picture of someone; it’s about consistency.’
The Australian star went on to discuss parenting his two oldest children, Princess, 18, and Junior, whom he shares with Katie and who have both followed their footsteps into showbiz.
Acknowledge that budding influencer Princess probably thinks he’s a ‘pushover’ and ‘too soft’, he does think he was a ‘strict’ dad while she was growing up.
Adding that he still has ‘boundaries’ for the kids, Peter explained his old-fashioned outlook: ‘They can have partners, of course, and they are welcome to come to dinner, but I have a no sleepover rule.
‘Junior is different because he’s 20 and has been with someone for a while, but even then, the doors are kept open, and one of them has to sleep downstairs.’
As for why this is, Peter doesn’t want his younger children—Amelia, Theo, and Arabella, from his current marriage to Emily Andre—to think it’s ‘normal’ when they go upstairs to a closed door.

‘It’s hard to do as a parent, but actually they don’t question it.’
Peter’s parenting has been the subject of hot gossip for a while, particularly after his bombshell statement the other week about the living arrangements of Princess and Junior.
Hitting out at Katie earlier this month, the Insania singer said he’s felt ‘frustrated’ at having to remain silent since their separation.
He wrote on Instagram that, in 2019, ‘the family courts issued a legally binding order’ to enforce the arrangement of Princess and Junior living with him due to ‘well-documented’ reasons.
Vowing to reveal more of Katie’s ‘lies’ in the ‘coming months’, he claimed that she has continued to repeat ‘falsehoods’ about him over the last 16 years.
Retaliating, Katie issued a statement via her representatives, who told Metro that she is now ‘in a much better headspace’ and is ‘at peace’ with how the matter unfolded.

With the situation involving her ex now in the hands of lawyers, her manager added: ‘Kate will no longer be gaslighted and bullied as she once was.’
Katie later took to her own Instagram profile with a cryptic message about ‘saints and sinners’, seemingly in a thinly veiled dig at Peter amid their war.
‘I know I will always be a Sinner,’ she declared, continuing: ‘At times I was not the mother I should have been while I struggled with mental illness. I have been at times a poor friend, an awful sibling, and an untrustworthy partner.’
Katie went on to launch an attack on those who ‘are not who they would have you believe they are’.
‘They have a carefully managed image, which must be exhausting to maintain.’
More recently, she hit out at her exes on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, which she hosts with her sister, Amy.

After another husband, Alex Reid, kick-started his ‘campaign’ to ‘expose the truth’ about her, Katie shrugged him off, asking why all her exes were ‘obsessed’ with her.
According to sources, those closest to reality TV queen Katie are ‘really surprised’ by how ‘calm’ she’s been about the whole debacle, especially as the ‘stunts’ of her exes would ‘send most people into a very dark place’.
‘This isn’t the first time Kate’s ex-husbands and partners have ganged up on her, but the last time it happened, it drove her over the edge, and we were all seriously worried about her,’ they told The Sun.
‘This time around, though, she is in a completely different place.’
Mum-of-five Katie is now dating Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, who was on the popular dating show in 2023.
