<p id=”par-1_26″>Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles know that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sports/”>quarterback</a> Jalen Hurts doesn’t see the need to live an outlandish and lavish lifestyle just because he can. </p>
<p id=”par-2_38″>Hurts was selected by the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/real-story-behind-those-photos-princess-diana-philadelphia-eagles-jacket.html/?swcfpc=1″>Philadelphia Eagles</a> in the second round of the 2020 <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/nfl/?swcfpc=1″>NFL</a> Draft. When he first signed with the team, he inked a 4-year, $6 million contract that included a $1.9 million signing bonus and $2.8 million in guaranteed money. </p>
<p id=”par-3_44″>Then in 2023, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-athletes/?swcfpc=1″>the athlete</a> signed a massive 5-year, $255 million deal including a $23 million signing bonus and more than $179 million guaranteed. That gives the signal caller an average annual salary of $51 million, making him one of the highest-paid players in the league.</p>
<p id=”par-4_48″>But instead of buying a huge mansion in the Philly area, Hurts lives in a modest apartment in a New Jersey suburb just outside the City of Brotherly Love, although he has purchased some properties in his home state of Texas. Here’s a peek inside those digs. </p>

<p id=”par-5_18″>Hurts’ rented apartment is located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, less than 10 miles outside of Philly. </p>
<p id=”par-6_42″>“I didn’t buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted,” Hurts told <a href=”https://www.al.com/sports/2021/04/what-has-jalen-hurts-done-with-his-new-nfl-money.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>AL.com.</a> “I didn’t need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment. You know, something smooth that’ll last me for the time being.” </p>
<p id=”par-7_69″>Hurts is originally from Humble, Texas, and purchased some properties in his home state for his parents. He bought one place in Humble for $215,000. That house is registered under his father’s name, Averion Sr. It’s 2,350 square feet with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, and a two-car garage. It also has a spacious backyard. Some of the interior has been updated to include granite countertops in the kitchen and stainless steel appliances.</p>
<p id=”par-8_37″>Hurts dropped $500,000 in 2023 on an abode in Houston in his mother Pamela Hurts’ name. It’s a bit larger than the Humble home with 3,000 square feet of living space, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms. </p>

<p id=”par-10_49″>It’s been reported that the quarterback did purchase a large property in the Lone Star State just five miles from his childhood home. He dropped $6 million on a 6,000-square-foot 1950s mansion. It features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, has a large swimming pool, and sits on a 10-acre lot. </p>
<p id=”par-11_35″>He also bought the house next door to it as well for an additional $2.68 million. It is not known if Hurts is planning to combine the lots or just wants some extra privacy. </p>
