The speculation can finally be put to rest: Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks are engaged. On Friday, Sept. 12, Brooks, 29, confirmed the happy news on Instagram with a carousel of photos, including a sweet black-and-white photograph where she wrapped her arms around Hemsworth, 35, while proudly showing off her engagement ring.

The post also featured a peaceful ocean view and a close-up of her dazzling diamond resting on a white sheet. Brooks kept the caption simple, adding only a white heart emoji.
Her announcement comes just weeks after fans noticed her wearing a sparkling diamond on her left hand during a yacht outing in Ibiza, fueling speculation about an engagement.
Inside Hemsworth & Brooksâ Romance
Hemsworth and Brooks, both Australians, first sparked dating rumors in December 2019 when they were seen at brunch with his parents, Craig and Leonie, in Byron Bay.
The couple went Instagram official in June 2021, when Hemsworth posted a group photo from the Gold Dinner 2021 in Sydney that included Brooks, Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, and Matt Damonâs wife Luciana Barroso.
The previous month, Brooksâ friend Michele Merkin included Hemsworth in a birthday post for Brooks, showing the actor photobombing his girlfriend.
A Private but Steadfast Relationship

This will be Hemsworthâs second marriage. He previously married Miley Cyrus in December 2018, after years of on-and-off dating, following their meeting on the set of “The Last Song.” The couple separated eight months later and finalized their divorce in January 2020.
According to Us Weekly, Hemsworth has always admired the long-lasting marriages of his brothers, Chris and Luke Hemsworth. âHeâs ready to be a husband,â the insider shared, adding that Hemsworth wanted to feel completely confident in his relationship with Brooks before proposing.
With Brooks now proudly displaying her ring, the couple is preparing for a new chapter together while continuing to cherish their private life.
