LANY star Paul Klein has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car, sharing worrying pictures of his injuries.

The Malibu Nights singer is currently on a break from his band’s A Beautiful Blur world tour, following their last performance in Guadalajara in May.

On Tuesday, the 36-year-old revealed that he had been involved in an accident on his way home after a gym session.

Taking to Instagram, he posted photos of his injuries, announcing that their upcoming dates in Australia and New Zealand would have to be rescheduled while he recovered.

One image showing him in a neck brace and with a bloodied face while hooked up to wires in hospital, while he had a wrapped bandage around his leg in another.

‘Hey everyone – on Thursday night of last week, I got hit by a car while I was on my Vespa heading home from the gym,’ he began a lengthy caption. ‘I don’t really remember anything after the collision… I woke up on a stretcher being put into an ambulance.

‘I’ve cried a lot of thankful and happy tears during the last few days. I know how fortunate I am to still be here. All of my vitals are good, but walking and moving around is still a challenge.

‘I’m getting progressively better though and will be at 100% really soon. The doctors have advised we reschedule our upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand to fast track my recovery.’

‘For those of you that have purchased a ticket for Aus/NZ, hold onto them and the new dates will be released shortly,’ he continued.

‘Thank you for understanding. this experience has only intensified the feelings of purpose I have, so I can’t wait to heal up and get back to it. All other tour dates are staying the same.

‘I love you and this life deeply! See u soon [sic].’

Right on cue, fans quickly flooded the comments section with support, urging Paul to rest up and focus on his health.

Karen Jenner penned: ‘I’m so grateful you’re okay. Get well soon, babe.’

Lauren Poolee agreed: ‘Thanking god you’re okay and praying for a speedy recovery I love you. I could cry I love you so much.’

‘Thank god you’re okay! You’ve always been here for us now we’ll be here for you! Wishing the speediest of recoveries Paul! We love you so much,’ Breeliebs wrote.

As Mckaymousley added: ‘Glad ur alive tho, there is no life without LANY. Love you Paul & sending prayers [sic].’

LANY, made up of Paul and Jake Clifford Goss, were first formed in 2014 and released their self-titled debut album in 2017, with hits including ILYSB, Super Far and Flowers on the Floor.

They followed that up with the hugely popular Malibu Nights album in 2018. their fifth record, A Beautiful Blur, dropped last September.

They were due to take the stage in Brisbane, Australia, on June 19 before heading to Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.

Their appearance in Auckland was scheduled for June 30 – with a five-week gap before their next date at Sziget Festival in Budapest on August 12.
