Rapper Enchanting dies aged 26 as Gucci Mane pays tribute

Tributes have poured in for rapper Enchanting after her death at 26

Rapper Enchanting has reportedly died at the age of just 26, after being taken off life support.

The Texan musical act, real name Channing Nicole Larry, was until recently signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label.

Although no cause of death has been confirmed or formally announced, a representative from her management told The Shade Room: ‘She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best and I did everything I could to help her, she tried.’

The outlet added that Larry was understood to have been in ‘critical condition’ after a reported overdose.

Larry’s sister Kay Jay had earlier on Tuesday denied rumours that Larry had died as speculation began to spread.

However, hours later she returned to social media to post what appeared to be a tribute, a photo of them together with a broken heart emoji and the caption: ‘I love you girl.’

Mane was also among the number of people paying tribute to the singer, sharing a photo of her on his Instagram and writing: ‘So sad to have to say R.I.P to such a great young lady a true star we gone all miss you Chant @luvenchanting.’

‘Long live My Chant 💔🕊️ My sister 💔 My other half 💔 😔’ added K. Shiday on Instagram, known as the first lady of Mane’s New 1017 group.

The pair had previously collaborated together on Mane’s compilation tape, Gucci Mane Presents: So Icy Summer.

‘Wish I could go back in time,’ added rapper Drebae, sharing a clip of himself with Larry. ‘These moments were everything. We love you Enchanting.’

He had previously tweeted: ‘RIP Enchanting. Only 26 years old & such a beautiful & kind soul. Heaven gained another angel.’

Fans had also rushed to share their sympathies with Kay Jay, with Valerie Williams responding: ‘So sorry for your loss praying to your family.’

Make-up artist Dilah added: ‘I’m so sorry for your loss, I’m praying for your healing.’

Larry’s songs included Luv Scarred, Needy and Keep It Playa, and the musician also had an active OnlyFans account.

She started her musical career after high school and a short stint working doing hair and nails before being inspired by her beginnings in the church choir.
