‘Real Housewives’ Star Claims Cast Will Not Return For Another Season

Caroline Brooks says “The Real Housewives of Dubai” will not return—at least not with the original cast.

Two months after it was reported that the Bravo reality series was put on “pause,” Brooks shared what she was told by producers.

“We were told ‘You guys are not being picked up for a third season, I’m really sorry because I feel like you guys deserved one. Thank you so much for two great seasons ladies. Wish you all the best of luck’ etc… << THIS IS WHAT #RHODubai was told unfortunately,” Brooks wrote on X on January 1, 2025.

The Bravo alum clarified that the message she was given was very clear. “In a group call with the cast, some of us graciously thanked them for the opportunity, while others stayed silent in disbelief. The delusion is real- some think the show will return, but it was clearly stated: this was our last season. #RHODubai,” she wrote.

Brooks added, “I said cancelled because we were told there wouldn’t be a third season, which felt final to me. I respect the decision and trust the network knows what’s best,” she wrote.

In November, Us Weekly reported that “The Real Housewives of Dubai” was put on pause after two seasons. “The cast was told a couple days ago,” an insider told the outlet on November 7.

RHODubai was the first international version of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise. It made its debut in 2022 and starred Brooks, Chanel Ayan, Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan, Caroline Stanbury, and Taleen Marie in its second season.

Bravo has not confirmed that “The Real Housewives of Dubai” has been canceled.

There had been rumors about RHODubai’s fate before the “pause” report was published. In October, Brooks took to social media to address rumors that the show had been canceled. “Not sure where all of these #RHODubai rumors are coming from. Bravo hasn’t announced anything and our ENTIRE cast hasn’t been told anything,”  she wrote on X on October 22.

After the “pause” was confirmed,  she took to X  to add, “This aged well… #RHODubai Ladies, don’t debunk things and make false announcements to mislead people. Girls speaking about ‘shakeups’ and all of the debunking, was.. well.. interesting to watch on my timeline. I TOLD YOU.”

A few weeks later, “Real Housewives” producer Andy Cohen was asked if RHODubai’s “pause” was temporary or permanent,

“I mean, a pause is a pause is a pause is a pause,” he told Deadline, adding, “But look, I love Dubai. I love what we built there. … We had this Housewives drought [over the] summer, [which] everyone was complaining about, and I think it’s about getting the rollout so that it’s a steady stream and there’s the right amount [of shows].”

He also explained the pause to People magazine. “It’s just smart business,” Cohen said on November 23. “We have a lot of ‘Housewives’ going right now. …We just want to make sure we get everything right and be very deliberate with everything we’re doing.”

Cohen noted that there is a lot to look at when deciding on “Real Housewives” shows, especially with the addition of streaming sites into the mix. “When we’re making decisions, we’re really looking at the full picture,” he said.

Caroline Brooks Admitted She’s ‘Relieved’ That She’s Done With RHODubai

After sharing her side of what went down with Bravo, Brooks told fans that she believed her cast’s reality show struggled due to ratings. “Fans just weren’t watching,” she wrote on X.

When asked if she was “bitter” over the situation, Brooks assured fans she is not.

“Quite the opposite, actually,” she revealed. “I’m relieved they pumped the brakes because it just didn’t feel right. Pulling the plug was the best decision. Too many things happened that shouldn’t have been overlooked. Everyone is entitled to feel however they want. This is how I feel.”

“Honestly, I’m not upset the show was canceled or paused- whatever term you prefer. It felt toxic, overly orchestrated, and many were hiding their true identities. Housewives should be authentic, not forced. I’m grateful for the opportunity, but not the experience,” she added.
