Rebecca Loos has issued a fierce three-word takedown to David Beckham.
The footballer’s former assistant claimed they had an affair in 2004, but David, who has been married to Victoria Beckham since 1999, blasted the allegations as ‘ludicrous’.
In a new interview, Rebecca, 47, has said there was a reason behind her decision to go public. She said it was a ‘F**k you mate’ to David, 49, for his treatment.
When on the Anything Goes podcast, the host James English asked Rebecca if she’d have considered not selling her story if the circumstances were different.
‘Do you think if he was up front and said, “Look, this is a little fling, blah blah blah” do you think you’d have ever come to the forefront with your story? Or do you think you did it because you were hurt as well?’ James asked.
‘I was hurt,’ she replied. Rebecca continued: ‘Me going public was a “f*** you mate” for treating me like that. Big time. It was. I don’t care how powerful you are, how much money you have. It’s not okay.’

Rebecca also claimed that journalists were contacting her in relation to the ‘affair’ so she felt it was best she came forward with her version.
‘I naively thought people would appreciate somebody being honest and telling the truth. But people don’t. They want to believe the fairytale,’ Rebecca said.
‘I knew it was going to be big, I didn’t realise I’d get as much hatred as I got back then,’ she added.

The alleged affair was a talking point once more when the subject was addressed in last year’s Netflix documentary Beckham.
‘It was the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us,’ former Spice Girl Victoria, 50, said as she recalled when news broke of the alleged affair.
‘Here’s the thing – we were against each other if I’m completely honest.’
Meanwhile, the ex-England midfielder called the stories ‘horrible’ and said they were ‘difficult to deal with’.
‘I think we both felt at the time that we were, not losing each other, but drowning,’ he said, adding: ‘I don’t know how we got through it, in all honesty.’

After the comments, Rebecca accused David of ‘playing the victim’.
‘It’s all, “poor me”. He needs to take responsibility,’ she told the Mail on Sunday.
‘He can say whatever he likes of course and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories.
‘He is indirectly suggesting that I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer.’
In a statement when the allegations first arose, a then 28-year-old David said: ‘During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life.
‘The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts.’
At the time, Rebecca told Sky that David was an ‘amazing lover’ and that they ‘couldn’t keep their hands off each other’.
