Rebel Wilson may be juggling life as a mom, wife, and Hollywood star, but itâs her 2-year-old daughter, Royce, whoâs become the real game-changer. Sheâs the tiny force behind Wilsonâs most significant shifts, especially when it comes to health, happiness, and slowing down.

In a new interview with TODAY.com on June 16, the Pitch Perfect actor opened up about how her little one has shifted her mindset, particularly in terms of health, priorities, and being present.
Rebel Wilson Says Her Daughter Stopped Her From Indulging in Junk Food
âI go on and off the rails with healthy eating and stuff,â Wilson, 45, admitted. âBut whatâs really good is that with her, weâre so conscious, my wife and I, about feeding her healthy, nutritious meals. Which makes me remind myself again about being healthy.â
Wilson noted that she has long had a habit of indulging in junk food, but that parenting has helped her break the habit.
âYouâd never deliberately feed your child rubbish,â she said. âSo why would I be doing that for myself?â
Cookies for dinner? Not anymore. Thanks to Royce, sheâs rethinking whatâs on her plate, too.
Rebel Wilson has long been open about her health journey, trying various approaches over the years before finding the right balance of food and fitness that worked for her.
According to People, she lost 80 pounds by 2022, although she has been candid about gaining some of it back during more stressful periods in her life.
“Working really hard has meant that, coz of all the stress, Iâve gained 14kgâs (30 pounds)! It makes me feel bad about myselfâ¦it shouldnâtâ¦but it does,” she wrote on Instagram in June 2024.
“Iâm really proud of the work Iâve been doing on new movies and my memoir, itâs just been a LOT and Iâve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle.”
Wilson Claims Parenting Helped Her ‘Slow Down’ And Find Peace
Wilson also credits Royce with helping her slow downâsomething that doesnât come naturally in her always-on, project-packed world.

âI was sitting down with her and I was playing with this kind of sand â itâs like magnetic sand or something,â she said. âI mean, just sitting there, just playing and talking to each other and just being present and not worrying about anything else.â
That grounding moment? A small reminder that sometimes the best part of life is unplugged, messy, and covered in kinetic sand.
Rebel Wilson Has a Hilarious Response When Asked How Marriage Changed Her Life
Since marrying Ramona Agruma in a September 2024 ceremony in Sardinia, Wilson says her life looks a lot different than it used to.
âIt just really changed my life. I mean, I donât have much of a social life,â she joked. âMy spare time goes to my wife and daughter, and so Iâm not gallivanting around like I used to be as a single lady, but itâs just so fun.â
Wilson Says She Finally Feels ‘So Settled’ as a New Mom
With a toddler at home, a marriage sheâs proud of, and a full slate of projects, Wilson says she finally feels centered.

âI feel so settled and nice and like everythingâs going great,â she said. âAnd I think just, women in their 40s anyway, you just find a nice groove and a nice place of comfortability where you are, which is great.â
Royce was born via surrogate on November 7, 2022. Since then, sheâs not only become the heart of Wilsonâs world, but the quiet voice reminding her to take care of herself, too.
On the professional front, Rebel Wilson is promoting “Bride Hard”. The movie is an action-packed comedy directed by Simon West.
She plays an elite secret agent whoâs used to high-stakes missionsâbut nothing prepares her for going undercover at her childhood best friend’s wedding. The movie hits the theaters on June 20th.
