According to <a href=”https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/lydia-mclaughlins-brother-geoffrey-stirling-shot-dead-at-45/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Us Weekly</a>, Stirling was riding a motorcycle in Newport Beach when he encountered officers. It is unclear what transpired between Stirling and the officers, but the 45-year-old was ultimately shot. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An independent investigation is underway.</p>
<p id=”par-3_56″>McLaughlin has not addressed the incident on her social media yet, but she did issue a statement. She told <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.tmz.com/2025/04/18/lydia-mclaughlin-brother-shot-police-geoffrey-shyam-stirling/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ</a>,” My family and I are devastated by the loss of my brother.
