Despite it being years since Rob Kardashian walked any red carpets or attended any celebrity events, the public hasn’t forgotten about him. When he showed up in sister Kim Kardashian’s photos attending La La Anthony’s birthday celebration, fans quickly commented.
“Rob looks so handsome here! Glad to see him smiling!” wrote one person. Another made sure to wish Anthony happy birthday before turning her attention to Rob. “You ladies look so lovely.. but OMG! SO happy to see Rob!! Really missed seeing his smile!!”
Just weeks after that photo, Khloé Kardashian decided to make an episode focused on fans’ questions and rumors. When she discovered several questions aimed at Rob, she chose to include him on her “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast.
Rob Kardashian Claims He’s Been Single Since Dream Was Born
In typical Khloé fashion, she doesn’t waste time asking her brother questions when he answers the phone. Unsurprisingly, people are wondering if he’s dating anyone.
Rob claims that he’s “been single eight years, since she’s [Dream] been born.”
“I’m good at talking to people, but also, like, there come moments when I’m just like, ‘Okay, I can’t talk to anybody, it’s too much energy,’” he confessed. “It’s too much, I’m talking to too many people, I don’t want to be like that.”
“And also, I have a daughter, I’m trying to be a good example,” he added. “I don’t bring girls in the house, I don’t have girls meet my daughter. I’ve always done that, since she was a baby.”
“Of course I’ve dated and stuff, but I’ve never gotten serious or wanted to,” he continued. “My energy is just into Dream. I’m probably too strict with that. I probably should have fun and enjoy my life and stuff. I still have fun and enjoy my life, I just don’t care to be dating somebody.”
While he’s not actively seeking a relationship, he knows it’s not impossible. “It just has to happen,” he said.
Rob tells Khloé that, when he was younger, he wanted five kids — a number he can no longer fathom.
“Not only do you have to focus on if you’re having a bad day and fix that, then you’ve got to fix your child, whatever’s going on in their lives,” he said about the responsibilities of being a dad. “It’s definitely a lot, but I love it.”
Rob Kardashian Would Film Again if it Felt ‘Natural’
When asked why he stopped filming the Kardashians’ reality show, he admitted that he’s a homebody and chooses to prioritize his “peace and happiness.”
“I don’t want to be filming and putting myself in a position where I’m not comfortable,” he explained. “Like, I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I want to go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that’s not what I want to do?”
He admitted that it’d been “years” since he’d been comfortable in his skin. “I prefer my own happiness and peace rather than filming for somebody who doesn’t do anything for me in my personal life.”
Surprisingly, he’s not opposed to returning to film for “The Kardashians” at some point. But, it has to feel right. “I love filming if it’s positive, and it feels natural, and I’m feeling good about myself,” he said.
