Rob Lowe Proves Age is Just a Number, One Shirtless Post at a Time

Rob Lowe is proving that age is just a number after deciding that sometimes, just sometimes, no shirt is the way to go.

The 61-year-old actor, who looks great, might we add, sat for an interview with People, revealing that his life mantra is indeed, “if you got it, flaunt it.” And yes, he’s flaunting it, indeed!

Speaking about creating “thirst traps” and embracing what the universe has given him, he stated, “Every once in a while, you’ve got to throw it down. You’ve got to be like, ‘Yeah, come on.”

He hilariously continued, “If you got it, flaunt it, use it or lose it, and it ain’t bragging if you’ve done it. Those are my three go-tos.”

Where are all these selfies and shirtless embraces coming from? Well, we believe it’s due to his son, John Owen Lowe, who, just like his dad, is following in his footsteps. The dynamic duo recently made headlines after they both appeared in their show, “Unstable.” The two, who practically look like twins, started posting several photos of themselves, embracing their sober living, family, and, yes, fitness journey together.

A Family Who Works Out Together Stays Together

Last month, the duo even posed shirtless together, showing off their ripped abs, with the 29-year-old writing, “Lowe family tradition: self indulgent shirtless gym photos.” As expected, the comments went wild from both fans and celebrities, with one user hilariously saying, “Some family traditions are meant to be shared with the general public. We thank you.”

Another one cheekily stated, “I’ll take the one on the left. To go,” she said, referring to Lowe. Others kept referring to the dad as a vampire as well, because let’s face it, this man doesn’t age.

Speaking about the incredible photo, Lowe stated that it was actually his son’s idea to create the “thirst trap,” to show off their health kick process. “It got really competitive. Then we were doing extra sets, you know what I mean? It’s a little bit motivating, and you’ve got to get your motivation wherever you can find it.”

Of course, his rocking body could also come after playing a fighter on Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star,” for a total of five seasons as the main leader, Captain Owen Strand. The show, which takes place in Austin, Texas, literally saw him running around into fires, creating chaos, saving people, and doing the unthinkable when it came to body weight.

Is Rob Lowe Returning to the ‘9-1-1’ Universe?

Although he stepped back from his role after the series ended in February this year, “9-1-1 Nashville” is still an option for Lowe after his brother, Chad Lowe, is executive producer in the upcoming season. Fans are all for seeing him on the silver screen again, and yes, so is the “Parks and Rec” star.

“I’ll have to ask Chad Lowe, my brother. Chad Lowe is the executive producer, director of 9-1-1 Nashville,” Lowe said. “So I’m just waiting for my phone to ring. I mean, you know, I hired him on ‘Lone Star.’ I think turnabout is fair play,” he said, referring to the cameo he had on the hit show.

The new Nashville spin-off features a fantastic cast, including “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Jessica Capshaw, Chris O’Donnell, Michael Provost, Hailey Kilgore, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey. As an exciting shocker to fans, the show also announced it would feature two powerhouses, Kimberley Williams-Paisley and singer LeAnn Rimes, to embrace that Nashville life a little bit more.

ABC has yet to announce a premiere date for “9-1-1 Nashville,” but we certainly can’t wait to see what it has in store for us. And, if Lowe does end up guest starring, here’s hoping he can appear shirtless…one more time!

Keep on giving us those thirst traps, Lowe! We’re not complaining!
