<p id=”par-2_46″>Russell Brand remarried after <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/why-did-russell-brand-and-katy-perry-divorce-perrys-career-mightve-had-something-to-do-with-it.html/”>his failed marriage to Katy Perry</a>. He tied the knot with<strong> </strong>Laura Gallacher in 2017, and they now have three children. Brand spoke to Wendy Williams in 2018 regarding his marriage and how he initially had trouble committing to his now-wife. </p>
<p id=”par-3_45″>“We went out with each other,” Brand said of Gallacher. “We loved each other very much. But I thought the world was a sort of amusement park made out of orgasms. So, I didn’t know how to sort of sit still. I was too excited.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_43″>When the conversation turned to Perry, Brand had nothing but good sentiments. “She’s such a lovely person,” he said. “I’ve got nothing but love for her.” He then called his marriage to Perry “a very, very wonderful time,” which Williams appeared to doubt.</p>
<p id=”par-5_45″>Williams then asked Brand what he thought of Perry’s lucrative deal with <em>American Idol.</em> Perry was a judge on the reality competition series from season 16 in 2018 to season 22 in 2024. She made a reported $25 million per season, except the first. </p>
<p id=”par-6_47″>“I don’t know much about<em> American Idol</em>, things like that,” Brand noted. “But, I certainly think that she’s probably a very good judge. So, I certainly wouldn’t comment on how much she’s earning in a negative. I wish her all the best in all of her endeavors.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_43″>Perry exited <em>American Idol</em> to pursue new music and tour. She then released her sixth studio album, <em>143</em>, and began the <em>Lifetimes</em> tour. Perry hinted she planned to return as an <em>American Idol </em>judge, so her replacement, Carrie Underwood, shouldn’t get too comfortable.</p>
