Months after announcing her divorce from Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford is still wearing her wedding ring.

The shocking divorce came after 14 years of marriage and more than two decades together with Ruth keeping her emotions close to her chest.

Eamonn confirmed the split while on GB News, stating the support for them both was ‘very much appreciated.’

The 64-year-old presenter has now reportedly moved on with Katie Alexander, 42, who he’s already whisked away on romantic trips.

Ruth has remained tight-lipped about her life post-divorce but fans spotted she was still wearing her wedding ring while posting on Instagram.

Under a video of her making her ‘Sunday food prep’, a fan, Samantha Clark, asked: ‘Why has she still got her wedding rings on? Xxxx’

‘Because I’m still married,’ came the cutting reply from Ruth, 64.

She also commented some laughing emojis, hoping to ease the tension in her comments as fans flocked to defend her wearing her ring still.

The caption of the post was completely separate from her relationship drama as the Loose Women panellist wrote: ‘SUNDAY FOOD PREP! Lots of you ask how I make my green juice that I take to work in the mornings….well this is how.

‘It varies depending on what I’ve got in the fridge but you get the jist….easy way to get some fruit & veg down!’

Ruth has remained in their family home but Eamonn is said to have moved out into a London apartment.

She reportedly wanted a ‘clean slate’ and had asked him to collect his stuff and leave as she didn’t like the ‘constant reminders’.

‘Ruth doesn’t want him to feel like he can pop back and forth when he likes to grab bits,’ a source told Bella magazine.

In May, the couple’s representative said in a statement: ‘Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.’

Last month, rumours were sparked that Eamonn had already proposed to his new girlfriend as she was seen wearing a sparkling ring.

It was claimed Eamonn sent Ruth a reassuring message to protect her feelings after false rumours emerged.

A source told MailOnline: ‘There are other people in this and I know Eamonn had to message Ruth to say there was nothing in the engagement speculation.’

Meanwhile, Eamonn underwent spinal surgery the following year, which left him off air for almost four months during his recovery.

He later suffered a major setback when he fell down the stairs, revealing he ‘smashed’ his shoulder.

Ruth and Eamonn married in 2010 and share a son called Jack, born in 2002, as well as co-parenting his three children, Declan, Rebecca, and Niall, from his first marriage.
