
The Robertsons are returning to reality TV with their show, âDuck Dynasty: The Revival,â but the show has coincided with the loss of their beloved patriarch, Phil Robertson.
The family first rose to fame on the A&E show âDuck Dynastyâ in 2012 and stepped away from the cameras in 2017. Sadie Robertson has been reflecting on what the show meant to her family and the memories it evoked. She decided to make a post on Instagram on May 28 to share her thoughts with her 5.3 million followers.
Sadie Robertson Shares What Being on ‘Duck Dynasty’ Means to Her Family
The picture Sadie posted features the entire extended family, all of whom are posing happily for the camera. âItâs wild how Godâs timing works⦠@duckdynastyae comes out this Sunday, and Iâve honestly never appreciated this show & the memories it holds more than I do now,â she wrote. âLosing my Papaw Phil this week has made every moment from the past feel even more precious. Rewatching old clips, hearing his voice, and seeing the legacy he built has been emotional and so beautiful!â
Sadie also shared how she was âbeyond gratefulâ to be in a position to continue to share their story. âItâs so much more than just a show to us, itâs our family, our faith, and a reminder of what really matters,â she wrote. âHereâs to continuing the legacy – I hope you all join in.â

His presence and impact will forever remain,â a fan shared. âWe canât wait for the show! Our family has been watching re-runs for years hoping you guys would do another show,â another fan wrote. Sadieâs mom, Korie Robertson, also reacted to her post, writing, âSo thankful.â
Phil Robertson Passed Away Before âDuck Dynasty: The Revivalâ
It is a challenging time for the Robertson family as they grieve the loss of Phil, who died on May 25., 2025. He was 79. Before the announcement of his death, which several family members shared in a statement online, Willie discussed his fatherâs health.
âDadâs not doing well at all. Itâs definitely progressing,â Willie told Us Weekly on May 20. âAnd mom has shown the same type of symptoms of Alzheimerâs or dementia. Itâs just part of life â and mom has her good days.â
In the same interview, he also revealed that while his mother, Kay Robertson, will be on their new show, she would not be a regular. âSheâs probably not going to be able to do that in the future,â Willie said. âShe also has more health problems, as well. But weâre there.”
“Duck Dynasty: The Revival” premieres on June 1 at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.
