Salma Hayek Becomes a Swimsuit Model at 58 With Gorgeous Orange Bikini Photos

Salma Hayek is a stunning woman who has achieved so many things. At 58, she added one more thing to her list: becoming a swimsuit model.

Hayek was included in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue in 2025. Not only was she included, she was the cover girl! The accompanying photoshoot is a celebration of beauty and confidence.

Sports Illustrated shared several photos on Instagram on August 14 of some of the stars it included in the edition wearing orange swimsuits. Included in the photos and wearing orange are Hayek, Gayle King, Maye Musk, Ashley Graham, and Martha Stewart, among others. “& that’s life of a #CoverGirl for you;” the caption reads.

The first slide is of Hayek, who looks stunning in an orange bikini. She also has a gold body chain on her stomach, and an orange cover-up is blowing in the wind behind her. In an article on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit from July 2025, the magazine reports that Raquelle Pedezra designed the swimsuit and cover-up. Ruven Afanador created the body chain.

Fans have shown their support for the photos. “Love this so much,” a comment reads. “Nothing but Fabulous-ness,” another person wrote.

Other reactions include, “Thank you for representing ALL women!,” “Gorgeous women,” and “I’m honestly in awe of every single woman you feature on your covers. Hayek discussed her desire to be included in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue in an interview with Sports Illustrated while on location. The interview was published on May 13, 2025.

“I remember when I was young, a long, long time ago, I was always excited to see the Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated, and [thinking] ‘Who’s going to be in it?’ Of course, I didn’t look like a model, so it never crossed my mind that one day I would be in it,” she said. “If somebody had told me I was gonna be in it at 58, I would have sent them to the madhouse. But the world has changed, and that’s exciting.”

She continued, “I feel so fortunate that I am part of a generation that has been able to really experience very tangible change. I could retire, but I don’t want to miss out on this time. I fought for it, you know, and I’ve been part of it, and I think it’s really remarkable that a magazine like Sports Illustrated [Swimsuit] says that it’s O.K., maybe even cool, to be past 50 and still be able to feel not just sexy, but for me, to be free and not be self-conscious of your body like you have to hide.”
