Sarah Beeny has left Good Morning Britain viewers in shock after declaring she thought Andrew Tate was ‘sensible’.
The TV presenter, 52, appeared on the ITV programme on Thursday morning to speak about the latest series of her show New Life in the Country.
However, during a wide-ranging chat with hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray, Sarah then started speaking about how she believed role models for young boys had largely been ‘cancelled’.
‘There’s no point in cancelling a whole group of people to give opportunities to other people. My kids will be fine. It’s the ones who don’t have anyone speaking to them,’ she said.
‘It seems to me at the moment that we have a toxic left and toxic right and a lot of the people who should be talking in the middle don’t feel like they can talk.’
She was asked by Adil about Tate and his ‘disturbing and sexist’ comments, but how young men like her sons could turn to him.

‘I think it is really difficult to know who you are copying or looking up to because, you are right, Andrew Tate…actually a lot of what he says is relatively sensible you know,’ she said.
Jumping in, Adil said ‘some of what he says’ whilst looking somewhat shocked at what he’d just heard.
‘I was quite anti it and said “oh it’s absolutely ridiculous” but one of my sons told me to listen to him (Tate) and I thought a lot of it is true. Like go for a run and you’ll feel better,’ she added.

Wrapping up the conversation Adil said: ‘He’s talking to them and that’s the point.’
Viewers watching the interview quickly shared their thoughts on social media.
‘GMB certainly weren’t prepared for Sarah Beeny coming on and saying Andrew Tate is sensible. Adil Ray frantically trying to save it, whilst Kate Garroway sat in silence,’ user Deano4x8 posted on X.

‘Oh my days! Adil Ray’s facial expression was so loud when Sarah Beeny said some of what Andrew Tate says is sensible,’ Angelina shared.
‘FS! Let me get my breath! Sarah Beeny describes what she thinks as the “toxic left” as LIBERALISM !!!?????…and then goes onto praise ANDREW TATE!?!?,’ Ken added.
In an interview with The Times earlier this week, Sarah also said she could almost understand why young boys gravitated towards Tate.
‘What do we want these teenage boys to feel?’ she began.
‘Who’s their role model? Donald Trump?’, pointing out most male role models had been cancelled.
She continued: ‘If you’re a straight white boy, they’ve all been rubbed out. So, I guess you go to Andrew Tate. That’s why he got so big.’
Earlier this week Sarah also called a majority of what Tate said ‘brilliant’ (Picture: Ken McKay/ ITV/ Shutterstock)
‘Eighty per cent of what he says is really brilliant. He says, “Put the shoulders back, get a six-pack and you won’t be depressed”, and you think, actually, that’s good advice — but then, slid in, is this moment of toxic, “And tell your b****, she should do as she’s told”.’
Tate gained notoriety for promoting various positions in the ‘manosphere’ community and was banned from various social media platforms over concerns he promoted misogynistic views to his millions of followers.
In 2023 he as the third-most googled person and has called himself a misogynist.
Tate is currently facing extradition to the UK after being accused alongside his brother of human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to exploit women in one case in Romania. He has also been accused of rape.
Metro has contacted ITV and representatives for Sarah Beeny for comment.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
