Comedian Sarah Silverman ended up getting the answer to a lingering question viewers were left with during the third season of HBO’s “White Lotus.”
While appearing on “LIVE with Kelly and Mark” on Wednesday, May 28 to promote her latest Netflix special, Silverman revealed she emailed the creator of the show Mike White to get to the bottom of a mystery that wasn’t wrapped up in the finale, according to PEOPLE.
âI loathe doing that because I feel like everyone must be asking him [about the show], but I did,â she told the two hosts.
Silverman proceeded to recall what she sent White.
âI did text him out of this one, I emailed him and I said, âWhatâs up with Leslie Bibb â how come we didnât find out why Parker Posey iced Leslie Bibb?’â
Bibbâs character Kate Bohr spotted Poseyâs character Victoria Ratliff while at the White Lotus resort in Thailand.
Bohr approached Ratliff and figured out the two had a mutual friend, resulting in Bohr believing they attended a party together years prior. Ratliff essentially brushed off the prior meeting, and it was never addressed again.
The 54-year-old wanted answers and had to get to the bottom of it.
“âWhy did she pretend not to know her? Is it something you didnât get to that got cut out, or like, whatâs the answer?â” she recalled asking White.
Silverman said he gave a simple answer, “âNo, I was just showing that sheâs a [expletive].’”
Silverman Would Be on ‘White Lotus’ if Given the Chance
Silverman also appeared on the “TODAY” show and was once again asked about White. Host Savannah Guthrie wanted to know if she could potentially appear in a later season of the popular show.
“I would love nothing more,” Silverman began before continuing, “but I am friendly with Mike still, and I do not think that will be in my future.”
Silverman then proceeded to show White the faces she could make if she were given the opportunity.
Silverman & White Were in the ‘School of Rock’ Together
While Silverman might not appear on the “White Lotus,” she does enjoy pointing out that White was in the “School of Rock.”
The friendship between Silverman and White started because the two were in the iconic 2003 film together, which White wrote as well.
“I love pointing out to people that Ned Scheebly [White’s School of Rock character] is the guy who writes all of the White Lotuses,” the comedian said while on “LIVE with Kelly and Mark.”
