Leave it to Scarlett Johansson to have the internet in stitches once again. The actress is riding high after recently breaking a major, well-deserved “Saturday Night Live” record, becoming the first woman to host seven times during the kickoff of the showâs 50th season.
Johansson has also been busy promoting her latest film, “The Phoenician Scheme,” which premiered in New York City. Although the movie has earned rave reviews, thanks in part to Wes Andersonâs brilliant signature style and direction, it was another topic that caught fire on social media.
No Time to Plan? No Problem for Scarlett Johansson
While walking the red carpet, Johansson was asked by E! News if she had any plans for Fatherâs Day, which falls on Sunday, June 15.
Clearly caught off guard, Johansson’s eyes widened as she responded, âI donât know! I have to think of some Fatherâs Day plans!â
The 40-year-old actress is married to “SNL” star Colin Jost and shares a 3-year-old son, Cosmo. She also has a 10-year-old daughter, Rose, with her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac.
Trying to come up with a last-minute idea, she added, âI think we’re going to be on the “Jurassic World” tour for Father’s Day, so I don’t know. I’ll have to scare up some kind of… what do you get somebody for that? A dinosaur egg?â
A Busy Summer for Johansson
In case you missed it, Johansson stars in the upcoming “Jurassic World Rebirth,” a sequel to “Jurassic World Dominion.” The new installment features a fresh cast led by Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. Itâs set to hit theaters July 2, which means Johanssonâs summer is set to be pretty packed with press events and global premieres.
Still, fans praised her quick wit and her candid response. It instantly went viral for showing how she balances her intense work schedule with real-life moments. Even if that includes scrambling for a dinosaur-themed gift for her husband, which, honestly, who wouldn’t want?
She also spoke about the contrast between her two recent projects. âWhen we were doing ‘Jurassic World,’ it was over the summertime, so I got to bring my family to a lot of fun locations. But this one, itâs so much about the work,â she said about Wes Andersonâs “The Phoenician Scheme.”
âWes has created this whole environment that feels like a troop of actors and you’re kind of all dug in and focused,â she continued. âAnd kids can be distracting.â
“The Phoenician Scheme” is currently in theaters.
