His former assistants have spoken about the demands of the job. Combs reportedly expected them to be on call at all times. One employee even alleged that he told people to break up with romantic partners in order to focus more attention on him. </p>

Most of these people were members of his staff. She also noted that they were all “very, very deferential.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_57″>Combs, some of his former employees allege, had high expectations. He reportedly expected them to help prepare for some of his now notorious parties, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/brendan-paul-sean-diddy-combs-alleged-drug-mule.html/”>transport drugs for him</a>, and anticipate his every move. One former employee, Brendan Paul, testified during Combs’ trial that he once spent three days awake, relying on Adderall and cocaine to keep moving.</p>
<p id=”par-5_14″>“I was young so I was able to handle it,” he said, per <a target=”_blank” href=”https://people.com/diddys-assistant-shocking-claims-witness-stand-brendan-paul-11758361″ rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-6_35″>He noted that when Combs hired him, he told him to break up with his girlfriend if he had one; the job would be so demanding that he would no longer have time for her.</p>

He recalled a time in which Combs pressured him to have a sexual encounter, possibly as a test of fidelity.</p>
<p id=”par-8_62″>“I remember hearing the words, ‘Prove your loyalty to me, King,’” Pines said in <em>The Fall of Diddy</em>, per <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/sean-diddy-combs-love-era-trial-cassie-1235249176/” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Rolling Stone</a>. “He grabbed me by the shoulders, gave me a quick massage like a coach would give a player that’s about to enter the game, and handed me a condom, pushed me to a girl that was on the couch, a guest.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_12″>Pines said he expected repercussions if he pushed back against his boss.</p>
<p id=”par-10_55″>“I heard about previous employees getting physically assaulted,” he said. “I saw how angry and upset he could get from the most simplest thing. And I just thought to myself, ‘If I don’t do this, I don’t know what’s gonna happen.’ [I had] a great sense of remorse following that situation, right from the jump.”</p>
